The #ProductEmpties We Loved to the Last DropFrom new finds to longtime favorites, these are beauty products that our editors use until the bitter end (of the tube) |
The Palette That Makes My Brown Eyes Pop The market is flooded with gorgeous eye shadow palettes, and I am drawn to each and every one like a moth to a flame. Perhaps it's the array of wonderful colors or the endless possibilities of new looks I can create -- I want, no I need to try them all. While I love loud, vibrant colors, I tend to gravitate towards the neutral hued ones. Then, I found the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette $42, which lets me have it both ways.
The palette itself is neutral at heart but with an intense burst of color that makes it extra special. It contains 14 heavily pigmented shades of taupe and brown, pink and crimson and orange and gold -- in a mixture of matte and shimmer finishes. This palette makes it simple to create multiple looks, and the colors are superblendable. I wear the lighter, more matte shades during the day, and then layer on more for a smoldering copper-red smoky eye at night. While the warm, earthy shades flatter most eye colors -- my brown eyes particularly shine.
I've been obsessed with this palette all summer long, and I can't wait to use it this fall. My other palettes haven't been receiving the same attention since the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette came into my life, but with the volume of compliments I've been receiving recently, I think I'm going to stick with this one for a very long time. --Hannah Savin
