Some really great tips! I like the idea of using a primer under the mascara.... why not? It's suggested for skin under make up - I haven't been able to find any primer, so I am definitely going to try the clinique primer now that I know where to find it. I've always wanted to use falsies, but am afraid they will look fake or add to much time to my makeup routine. I've heard of using a powder or dark foundation on a fan brush and brushing it on your lashes from the base to the tip of the lashes and that works really well too. I think using the fan brush would be a great way to apply the powder to the lashes to avoid clumping. Thank you for the great tips!

I love these tips :) However, having already mega-long lashes by nature I only have to use a rather inexpensive mascara (Maybelline Great Lash Big in Blackest Black) in order to help my lashes stay in place. While I don't need any lengthening or thickening features from mascara, I rely on mascara in black to help make my lashes "pop" as well as help hold them up! The light formula helps my lashes stay where they're supposed to be without "curling" into my eye - my natural, bare lashes are so long and silky that they sometime get caught on each other when I blink and get stuck in my eye! It hurts, but mascara helps me have great lashes without the hassle! :) It's a make-up staple!

I keep changing mascara brands to get it right. Trying to provide clumping, extend the lashes, and I am not a fan of primer b/c it makes my lashes harden up. Thanks for the suggestions on a smaller lash wand as I thought going larger would help and thanks for the brand tips :-).

These are good tips. I wish mascara lasted longer-- I'm the type of person who will try a type of makeup like once and then decide to try it again later-- mascara dries up too quickly for that to happen with me~

Fresh mascara, mascara primer, and getting eyeliner as close to the lashes as possible are tips I use all the time. Also, wiping off the excess mascara on the tip of the wand also helps keep it from clumping.

These were definitely some great tips to try out when I do my mascara from now on!! I thought I was the only one who used 2 different mascaras when I do my make-up but apparently I'm not!!! Good to know!! I liked the tip they gave about which way to brush the lashes in order to get a fanned out, full look. Great article!!
