an o.k. mascara

Does hold the curl and lengthen and last all day, but it makes my eyelashes feel very brittle, so I'm not really like that. I love the brush, but i like soft eyelashes.10/18/2007

May 31, 2008, 12:54 pm I was skeptical before trying. So, I used the lash primer first (LOVE that stuff) then this Courbe Virtuose Divine Lasting Curves Mascara. Well, my lashes went straight up! and lasted like that ALL DAY until I took it off at night. So, since I had that Rather WIDE eyed look I wanted it toned down a bit, so, now I use the primer then put mascara on top of lashes in a downward swipe, then I go up, my lashes look GREAT, kind of soft and soft, I use about 3 coats total, I swipe out and upward and the result is super. I have even suspended using liner so as to draw attention solely to the lashes and the effect is striking. VERY please with this product !!! May 31, 2008, 12:54 pm

April 29, 2008, 7:03 am I was sorely disappointed with this mascara. I have very hard to curl lashes. Knowing how great other Lancome mascaras are, I was so excited to buy this. However, the first time I used it, nothing. So, I though since my lashes are hard to curl, I would use an eyelash curler first, help the mascara out a little, and hope that the mascara would hold the curl, even if it couldn't create a curl on my lashes. Nope, Didn't work either. In fact, I actually watched as my lashes un-curled after I put this mascara on. I would have returned it, but I threw away my receipt, because I've never been disappointed with a Lancome product before. I only give it a 3 because at least the color was nice and didn't smudge. April 16, 2008, 4:43 am I am radically impressed with Courbe Virtuose Mascara by Lancome on quite a few wavelengths that go beyond the standard cosmetic quo. I truly recommend this product to anyone looking for the ultimate mascara that allows you to significantly achieve a slightly curvier, yet curlier lash with a hint of length and volume. This product is also simple and doesn't need to be coated to achieve a modest, yet visible enhancement. This amazing mascara product also does NOT smudge nor smear and truly lives up to it's promise of perfecting a pitch, that defines what it is. Although, you can apply as much as needed, this amazingly fluent mascara was obviously created for those that love glamor, but appreciate it for it's simplicity, rather than it's dramatic visibility. The hype of overcoating the lashes with this fine mascara is a fallacy. If you are a makeup fanatic that loves to coat the lashes multiple times in hopes of achieving a false eyelash look, forget it. You only need to apply a few coats of this amazingly fluent mascara. Courbe Virtuose mascara by Lancome is truly not only a force to be reckoned with in the beauty market today, it proves it lives up to it's promise in a practical fashion, much more so, as a result. This is my HG

I have tried so many mascaras. I've been either allergic to them or they've smudged of they didn't do anything on my lashes. But this one is amazing. I'm not allergic. It makes my wimpy, sparse Asian lashes look thick and long. It doesn't smudge (which is a miracle, because everything smudges...even the Chanel waterproof Initimable mascara.) I have heard rave reviews about this mascara at blogdorfgoodman's site, but I was skeptical. Everyone had said how Diorshow was the best musthave mascara ever and all it did was smudge on me. I would have dark black circles on my eyes by the end of the day. But this is definitely the best mascara ever. March 23, 2008, 12:53 pm

I've been purchasing Flextencils on ebay since it was discontinued by Lancome, but when I heard about Courbe Virtuose, I had to give it a try. I've had no luck with eyelash curlers, but I like the look of curled lashes. This mascara delivers. As with all Lancome mascaras, it doesn't clump or flake, and it separates even better than any other Lancome mascara I've used, and once I got the handle of using the brush, it does give a nice curl to the lashes. 10 stars from this Lancome girl! Long, full lashes that look good day or night and then clean up neatly without pulling or tugging. Add to that tear-resistent (its gotten me through sentimental movies, funerals, and getting engaged). I never thought I'd find myself spending this much on mascara, but hey,... it's worth every penny to put it on on the morning and forget about it. February 15, 2008, 7:09 am

January 20, 2008, 6:30 pm The ultimate curling mascara because simply put, there is no need to pre-curl your lashes with an eyelash curler when using Courbe Virtuose. At least for me anyway. Courbe Virtuose is formulated with CurlGuard™. This is a unique formula that no only lengthens and helps to curl lashes, but it holds your lash curve for an unprecented 12 hours. The brush has a slight curve to it, which they call it's KeepCurl™ brush. The bristles are close together and tight around the curve, helping to curl lashes as you apply. This is why I don't have the need to use my eyelash curler prior to using. And as with all of Lancome's mascaras, there is no clumping, flaking, or smudging. Just beautiful rich color, with the ultimate curl hold. My only gripe I have with this mascara, and it is a small one, is with the handle design. The tube is glossy and the handle has a strange curve to it. When I first tried the mascara, my hand slipped down the handle a few times. I have learned to use it, and the handle is no longer a bother to me. But it did take a few tries to get used to it. I just hold it tighter and I am used to the curve. January 20, 2008, 6:30 pm

    on the dry side

This mascara does hold the curl because it's on the dry side. Since I curl my lashes everyday, some of the wetter formulas de-curl them, but not this. However all it seems to do is just that, curl. My lashes were not thicker nor longer. If you like the clean separated look, it's fine, but not for a dramatic volume lover. I ... I usually top this with Definicils to complete the package. April 28, 2008, 6:57 am

In one coat it gives you long, lush, curled lashes that stay looking fresh all day long. But if you really want drama add a second coat and it looks like you've gone to all the time and trouble to apply false lashes! It doesn't smudge or flake all day, but when it's time to take it off it's easily removed with any facial cleanser. It's a little more expensive than some mascara ($23) but well worth every penny and more. I'll never go back to anything else! December 30, 2007, 9:21 am
