My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots and frizzy ends. This is one of the best-smelling shampoos I have ever used! The first week I used it, I would catch myself constantly smelling my hair. And, of course, it gets your hair and scalp completely clean without stripping your hair (and my hair is naturally a little dry). I have short oily hair so I need a shampoo that leaves my hair clean but not stripped. This one is great. It is also inexpensive so its a great bargain. The scent is nice and tropical. Paired with the conditioner it leaves my hair clean, soft and not weighed down. My hairdresser recommend this because I have a very oily scalp, but very dry ends and this wouldn't dry my hair out. I really, really like this shampoo! If my ends do get dry I just put in some leave-in conditioner! It makes my hair very manageable, and shiny. I tried this as a "clarifying" shampoo to get all the product build-up off of my hair and scalp since I only wash my hair 3 times a week and blow it out. Despite being called "drama clean" it doesn't really seem to leave my hair all that clean. Soft, and smelling good, yes, but really clean? Not so much. I tend to switch around on shampoos and this one is a winner. It smells GREAT-which is important to me no matter how immaterial to how it cleans. I like that it is a clear gel and not a cream-it makes me feel like my hair is cleaner but I never feel like it is stripped dry. It tingles a little too-just IS refreshing.
