Stila Kajal Eye Liner Reviews

Not worth your money!
I have owned this in two colors, black ("Onyx") and white ("Pearl"). PROS: Cute packaging. The colors are very very pigmented. CONS: Expensive ($18). Too soft. Does not set. Smudges everywhere. Does not stay well on waterline. Overall, not a product I would repurchase. I prefer products that DO set, but can be smudged out while applying. This product does neither of those things. Stila's Smudgepots are much better products and are more versatile than these kajal liners--try those out instead! — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 6 people said helpful

great product
i love all things stila. this eyeliner goes on smooth and doesn't pull on your skin, which is great for those of us that are concerned with wrinkles. it's a little pricey but it lasts me a long time. colors are great and stays on for a good time. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 9 people said helpful

Great application, pretty color
This product has gotten many mixed reviews but I have to say I really like it. I have had no problem with the Tiger's Eye shade of this eyeliner pencil. It applies smoothly and evenly, blends/smudges nicely, wears well and looks very pretty. Tiger's Eye is a nice basic color that looks as good for daytime as nighttime. A good idea would be to use a lid primer and/or a light dusting of powder. I find this makes a huge difference in how well eye makeup applies and stays put. If you have oily skin a lid primer is a must. I will purchase this product again. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 12 of 22 people said helpful

Smooth Application . ..
Really love this eyeline - it goes on smooth, but my only problem with it is is smudges a bit too much. Great pencil for someone just learning to outline - but watch out in hot weather!! — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Wish they weren't discontinued
I have this pencil in the shade Amethyst. I don't want to use it because I never want to run out of it! It's probably the creamiest eyeliner I've ever encountered. It's perfect, absolutely perfect for a smudged smokey eye. Fabulous for the water line too. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pearl
I have a hard time blending the pearl liner on my lid. It's great that the color is prominent. Maybe I need to play with it more. — 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Stila Liner in Emerald
The kajal liner glided so smoothly along my waterline, and unlike some deceptive ones that glide easy with no color deposit, this one had a decent color pay off in one stroke. No tugging or scratching along the waterline. One thing is though that it isn't very long-wearing along the waterline, at least not for me. I use a trick where I first sweep a Q-tip lightly along the waterline to absorb the excess water, since my eyes tend to be more watery. Immediately after that, I apply the kajal liner and it stays put fairly well. Since this liner is so pigmented while being soft, I have also used this for smudging on the eyelid when creating a green smokey eye. It works very well for that as well. I would recommend using a primer on the lid before the eye makeup though since this has the potential to smudge more than you'd like throughout the day. — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

IT IS A KEEPER 4 ME
I LIKE THIS EYELINER PRODUCT AND I USE IT ALONE OR WITH OTHER EYELINERS--DEPENDING ON THE LOOK I AM GOING FOR AND ALSO THE COLORS I NEED TO GO AFTER THE "LOOK" I WANT TO ACHIEVE..MIX AND MATCH COLORS AND LINERS AND YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED AT WHAT TURNS OUT...I KNOW I WAS THE FEW FIRST TIMES NOT ONLY THAT, A LOT OF OTHERS NOTICED (in a good way) AND PEOPLE KEPT COMING UP TO ME ASKING "HOW DID YOU CREATE THAT EYE LOOK" INSTEAD OF GOING INTO DETAIL EACH AND EVERY TIME...ALL I DID WAS WINK AND SMILE AND MOVE ON--LEAVING THEN WITH A ? AND SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT....JUST A WINK AND A SMILE...AND MOVE ON!!!! — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 5 people said helpful

Disappointed
Pros- Super pigmented, great variety of colors, soft. Cons- TOO soft (the tip has broken off more than once), smudges beyond belief, messy, and creases after only a few hours of wear (even WITH a primer). I have this in three colors, as I got them on a clearance 1/2 price deal. Even paying $9 for the product, I still felt that I overpaid. This stuff winds up getting everywhere on my lid, my fingers, and even the sink! I want a liner that will give me a neat clean line, and this just doesn't deliver. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 8 people said helpful

kinda sucks!
this eye pencil looked really god when i was shopping for it. but the first time i used it, ewwwwww! it was so smeary and i always use a primer. i only wear eyeliner on my top lid and it made a crescent moon mark on my eye, and i hate that! i have very oily skin and i wished they had told me about that before i bought it. if you have oily skin, keep on walking! you'll hate it! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful
