This eye pencil has rich color and a suede-like texture -- perfect, as claimed, for creating smoky eyes. Shades like Tigers Eye and Amethyst are too great to pass on. The soft formula has enough waxiness so it doesn't fade, but (and it's a big one) the silver lettering on the packaging flakes off, sticking like barnacles to fingers and face. Another thumbs down: Air bubbles in the pencil, so you lose chunks as you sharpen. Come on, Stila!

    Way Too Soft

    This pencil is way too soft. I tried it on my hand at the store because I don't like a really hard pencil and it seemed nice so I bought it. But when I used it, it was impossible to get a fine line because the point flattened out too quickly. I ended up putting small dashes of liner on my eye and then using an eyeliner b...rush to connect them. That worked, but the liner faded within an hour. What started out black practically disappeared. I could live with the softness but not when it fades so quickly. May 7, 2008, 12:39 pm

    I love this eye liner

    Finally an eyepencil that doesn't pull on my sensitive eyelids. It's so soft and creamy, very easy to apply and it stays put all day. Not for the inside rims though, it's too creamy for that, it blurs the eyes. I only use it on my upper lashline. I've used half of the pencil and so far no flaking and no airbubbles! I have ...it in dark blue, but I definitely will get a couple of other shades! May 6, 2008, 3:32 pm

    I use this eyeliner in pearl (white) for the bottom rims of my eyes and the inside corners of my eyes (between the eyes). The pencil is nice and soft and the color is easily blendable with the fingertips but the staying power is horribly weak. The liner is very soft and malleable so the tip of the pencil is prone to break...ing (you can lose a lot of product this way!). This pencil is not ideal, but it's the best white eyeliner I've tried so far. That being said, the search for the perfect white eyeliner continues... February 3, 2008, 6:01 pm

    Nice but doesn't stay on long enough.

    When I used this product for the first time I was really happy with how easy it pulled over my skin. It didn't tug at my eyelashes and when I smudged it it spread like butter. The color stayed true through out the day but when I went dancing the liner caused a nasty colored crease in through my purple eye shadow. Still a co...ol liner but I would set it with something before you go out so you don't have to deal with creases. February 15, 2008, 8:08 pm

    I actually like this eyeliner...it's soft and smudgy so you don't have to pull your eyelid really tight or press really hard to actually get some color on your lids. You can build the color if you want a more intense look and I have found that lasts well. I don't know if I would say it is my very favorite but it's in the ...top two or three! May 6, 2008, 9:29 am

    LOOOVE THIS!

    I love this eyeliner! I use it for the inner rim of my eyes (although I know you're not suppose to put any at ALL). It goes on very smooth, and yes I agree it doesn't stay as long unlike the smudge pots Stila makes. It's easy to sharpen if you have the right sharpener. Overall, I would recommend this eyeliner!     although the color is very dramatic and deep, it is definitely not the liner for oily skin or warm weather. although it was great during the winter months, now the its getting warmer it smudges all over the place. i wish it had better staying power April 19, 2008, 5:04 pm

    This pencil had a good texture when blending on, although, as the editorial review notes, it tends to fall off in chunks when sharpened. My main complaint though, is that it doesn't stay put very well on my slightly oily skin, and collects in a nasty line in my eyelid by the end of the day. Definitely not a good look!
