Urban Decay Naked2 Palette Reviews

As good as Naked Palette I
I love this palette because of the color saturation of the shadows. You can mix them together - 0ne over the other for a unique color, create a nice smokey eye and the shadows stay on!! They don't move around even without the primer. Sometimes I forget the primer and I am pleasantly surprised that the shadows last all day and night! I highly recommend this! — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 9 people said helpful

Lovely!
It seems like Urban Decay gets better and better with each new palette! I'm thrilled that UD has worked on some issues that fans of the original Naked had made. First off, the brush included is much better; now it's a double ended brush that spreads and blends much better than the original flat brush the first palette had. Second, I like that this comes with a lip gloss instead. I feel like I might get lynched every time I tell someone I'm not the biggest fan of the UD primer potion. Don't get me wrong, it's a great eye shadow primer, but I prefer others. The lip gloss shade will look good on everyone because it's the perfect shade of sheer neutral pink and it's perfect for keeping it in your purse or pocket. As far as the colors go, I am a big fan. I also like the tin packaging--much better improvement and far cuter in my opinion. For at least a month when UD originally released the first photos of the Naked2 palette, I was debating whether or not to bother buying this palette. I assure you that this palette looks MUCH better in real life. My favorite two shades are "Pistol" and "Verve" which are beige-y silvers. Some people complain that "Half Baked" shouldn't have been revived in this palette since it was featured in the original Naked palette. However, Half Baked was my favorite shade in the first palette so I'm not complaining! Blackout was featured in the previous 15th Anniversary special edition palette, but I think it's a good inclusion to have in a palette. This palette is much cooler in shades as opposed to the original Naked which is much warmer. That's why I prefer Naked2 in winter/spring and Naked in Summer/Autumn. However, you can rock either any time of year! — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 19 of 29 people said helpful

Lovely
These are of great quality; I don't think you need this and the Naked palette. This one is more cool and gray toned than the original Naked palette. The shadows are full sized and highly pigmented; the brush it comes with are great as well. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 14 people said helpful

Great all around eye palette
I bought the Naked2 Palette because I read lots of the hype and was looking for a nice, wearable palette for traveling and overnights. This did not disappoint! This is definitely more eye shadows than most people need and I have to admit, I was a little overwhelmed when I first got this since it was one of my first palettes. However, all the colors are wearable and work very well together. The combinations are endless and I have created some really nice looks from this. It serves its purpose well and I often throw this in my makeup bag when I am spending a couple days at my boyfriend's and don't want to have to predetermine what eye shadow colors I am going to wear. The shades are neutral but most have shimmer in them. There are just a few matte shades which is the main reason why I couldn't give this palette a 10 star rating. I know it's Urban Decay and they are more known for their shimmery, glittery shades, but this is meant to be a neutral palette. Mattes are much more neutral and versatile than shimmer. With that said, I would still recommend this palette to anyone who wants many different eye shadow options and the ability to create several looks using a natural color palette. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Can't Live withouht Getting Naked!
Beautiful, just as wonderful as the first. I adore Taupe. I'm eagerly awaiting Naked Basic's Canada release and a Naked 3 if Urban Decay's planning on that. — 4 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

On the fence like naked 1
I feel that the naked palettes are great for people who are not as fair as i am. They are really high quality and amazing packaging. For my skin tone personally they did not work out sadly. I would highly recommend this as a gift! — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

No brainer must have
UD, you did it again. You finally realized that we, the collectors, will not even think twice about NOT getting this. The colors fall a little short from the first one (like chopper - who needs another copper? and half baked - we all have this permanent by now), but who cares when these are all neutrals, classics that we can all wear and all should have. Thank you soooo much for including so many shimmer shades. The shimmers are intense and silky. Pistol, the new color, a hard to find as always, grayish brown shimmer is my favorite. Busted and Blackout, the two darkest colors are so pigmented that very tiny bit is all you need, so be light handed on these shades. Thank you UD, I won't mind if you kept coming out with Naked 3, 4, whatever, because I have faith in you that you'll add new colors and they will be all well balanced in colors, shimmers, metallics, mattes, that would keep interesting me. Just keep glitters and non neutral colors out of the collection please. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 8 people said helpful

Awesome sequil
I love this palette for it's more cool tones. I think it works well in conjunction with the first palette - creating even more natural looks! The brush isn't bad. Still not very many mattes, but overall a great palette to have in your collection. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 9 people said helpful

I don't use anything else
Oh Urban Decay, THANK you so much for making the Naked 2 Palette! Since I have a warmer undertone I figured the original Naked palette would be better suited for me. I was wrong! Don't get me wrong, I haven't forgotten about my beloved Naked palette but I may have found a replacement! These colors are absolutely gorgeous. There's a perfect shade for everyone! There are shimmer champagnes(verve), light yellow toned matte's(foxy), a beautiful grayish slightly plum color (Tease), gorgeous gold (half baked) , a matte black (blackout), a beautiful orangey bronze (chopper), and of course other darker browns, etc. These colors range from shimmery, to glittery, to matte. They are all honestly like butter. Not only are they highly pigmented, but they can also be sheered out and blend together seamlessly. I used my MAC Paint Pot today in "Bare Study" up to my crease and put "Verve" over my entire lid, popped some "Tease" into my crease and outer V, darkened up my outer V a little more with "Pistol" and put a little bit of "Busted" only on the outer portion of my lid, literally two small swipes. Finished with "Foxy" on my browbone. I have got to say...this is my new favorite make up look of all time! I like to think of it as a Natural Smokey Eye. It's not over the top whatsoever but it's still polished and sexy. You can wear it with a nude lip or even a bright lip, that's the beauty of this palette. These shadows are all SUPER pigmented, so you don't need a lot at all and they blend so perfectly so there aren't any harsh transitional lines. I also love the brush that came with this palette, it's a double sided brush for your crease and your lid. Essentially, this is basically the only palette I will ever need. The colors look smooth and gorgeous on the lid, and they last all day even without a Paint Pot or primer (on my lids at least). Such a high quality product. Worth Every penny. Especially since the possibilities and combinations are endless. :) — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

New Neutral Awesomeness
Naked 2 has been heralded as the most anticipated sequel in the makeup world. At first I thought "what's the hype all about?" but then I saw it in person at Sephora and I understood. There are some great colors in it that I don't already have - yes there are some I already have from the Naked 1 palette and the 15th Anniversary palette but overall, for me, this is a mostly new set of colors. Even though there only seems to be so many different looks you can do with neutral colors, there is really a much more diverse set of looks than you would expect. As with the Naked 1 palette there are shimmers (Booty call, chopper, suspect, pistol, verve, busted), glitters (half baked, snake bite, ydk) and mattes (foxy, tease, blackout). This palette is a plastic tray resting inside a metal case, which certainly seems like an upgrade. when I bought this it came with a double-sided Urban Decay Karma brush which is a completely different size than the one from the first palette. It also came with a lip gloss. I feel like again (as with Naked 1), the matte colors do come short of impressing me - if I had to pick a brand for matte I'd stick with Too Faced, but these still aren't bad, just not AS good. The color payoff is pretty good. I needed to go with two layers of blackout to get it opaque, but again I am super pale so that makes some sense it does come out a true black, like if you were playing with coal all day. I really like this palette and I am sure that I will get tons of use out of it. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 9 people said helpful
