Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil
I don't generally like to fuss with lipliner - trying to get the right color to go with your lips or the color seems too much of a hassle. However - for bright lipsticks and dark lipsticks it is useful to have a lipliner to keep the product on the lips and not bleed and feather out. Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners are a favorite of mine, thought it would be a safe bet to try their lip liners. Ozone is a great clear lip liner - I can line and fill my lips with it as a base before applying a bright red or coral or deep plum lipstick to keep it where I've applied it. Helps lipstick last longer and avoid feathering into the fine lines and creases around the mouth. It's fantastic as a base for lipstick/lipgloss! It does make my lipstick more long wearing even after I eat. I also line my lips with it to prevent feathering (it works!). I love the fact that it's clear so it goes with any lipstick/lipgloss, I don't have to buy any other lipliners. But, I find that it's a bit drying AND it runs out very quick. I don't think I would repurchase because I'm going to try out MAC Prep+Prime Lip Primer next; it's cheaper! I love this liner because it is truly clear, without a whitish or waxy look to it. I can use it underneath all my lippies to keep them from bleeding and to give them lasting power. I've even just used it under gloss to make it stick better. Definite thumbs up for this product, I will repurchase whenever I run out. It did work, however, after wearing it for a day I took off my makeup that night and noticed my lips were burning and felt like they were covered in wax or glue and this continued for a week and a half after using it only once. I have sensitive skin although I've never had an adverse reaction to any lip product so be sure to do a skin test if you have sensitive skin. I bought this on a complete whim. It was my first time at Sephora and I convinced myself that I needed this lipliner. So I bought this and the Urban Decay Grindhouse sharpener. To be honest I felt that this was a waste of money for me, it didn't seem to make my lipstick or tinted lip balms stay on any longer. The colour that goes on when I have this lipliner on and when I don't is different. When using this lipliner before lipstick it makes the colour more true to what is in the tube (I have fairly pigmented lips). It goes on smoothly and doesn't dry out my lips. To be honest, I won't repurchase because I don't think it's an essential item. I love the Urban Decay Grindhouse sharpener though and would definitely repurchase and recommend that. Urban Decay's new 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone is basically a CLEAR lip liner. I have tried other so-called clear lip pencils that professed to stop feathering and bleeding of lip products and I have never been satisfied with them -- until now!! This thing is fabulous! The real test for me was lining my lips with Ozone and then using a MAC Lipglass, without any other (colored) liner. I had not even a hint of my lipglass going outside the boundary I created with the Ozone pencil! The only downside I see to this product (and I still couldn't bring myself to deduct a lippie because of it) is the fact that I can see myself running through this pencil pretty quickly. I have no issues sharpening the pencil, nor do I with the 24/7 eye pencils. I do think that the formula, which creates a very soft pencil, also facilitates it wearing down more quickly. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil
I have always had great luck with Urban Decay cosmetics, and this lip pencil didn't disappointment me either. I bought in Gash, and I love it. It doesn't bleed or feather, it glides on and it wears extremely well.
