INSANE!!
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't the biggest Stila fan in the past. I'm not a huge fan most of the products. Also, normally in the past I have ALWAYS went against felt-tip liners as well, because they do not go on very well with my eyes and they drag on my skin. This has become one of my favorite eyeliners. First off, this is truly waterproof! I cried like a baby during a movie and this did not run, even though my eyeshadow did run (LOL!). Second, this is very smudge proof! I wasn't paying attention and forgot that I was wearing eye makeup, so when I scratched my eye, I remembered about my makeup and panicked-- However, my eyeliner did NOT budge or flake off! You have NO idea how many liners I've used that rub off easily even when they claim that they don't. I work at a Sephora and this usually sells out so fast because we only receive one or two at a time every month or so. So the tester I used was quite old and it was still rich and bold as if it was brand new--not dried out a single bit. Therefore, this has completely redeemed all felt-tip liners in the world because this is an amazing liner. The finish is semi-matte--not too shiny, but not completely matte. I do wish it was more matte though, but it's much more matte than other liners. The tip is AMAZING and firm so you have total control of your pen. The hype is all true with this liner! I definitely will consider ordering other colors from online. Did not work for me
I have two of these, one in a really pretty cobalt blue and then the basic black. The tip on these is nice. It comes to a very fine point. The major problem I have with these is that the liquid liner does not extend enough to the tip. All the color and product is concentrated at the base of the felt tip pen, so when trying to draw a fine line or point using the tip of the brush, very little product is there to work with. It is only at the thicker base of the pen that the liner is dispensed with ease. This makes it so frustrating to work with! Only when I lay the pen on its side can I get any real product out and it comes out messy. I have used several types of liquid liners...brushes and pens and this one had one of the most fatal flaws I have ever seen. The only thing worse would be if it came dried out completely. It couldn't be that my pen just dried out at only the tip, because I experienced this difficulty on my very first use of each. I thought I may have had a dud (I tried the blue liner first) but I experienced the same frustration with the black liner. No competition
Stila hit this one out of the park!This has been my Never-Fail eyeliner for the past 1 year. Everything smears on me, regardless of primer or eyeshadow or waterproof or whatever. I always look like I'm seriously ill because my eyeliner somehow makes its way down to completely cover my lower eyelids. I look like one of those zombies you see in those Halloween movies. (I'd say while most eyeliners completely cover my lower eyelids - 100% grey eyelid, Bobbi Brown gel liner covers only the outer third of my lower eyelids - 33% grey eyelid). This eyeliner smears a little too, but just where the outer corners of my eyes meet - 10% grey eyelid. This is a HUGE improvement. No zombie eyes. This is the only eyeliner that doesn't fall to my lower eyelid and creating a horrendous purple/grey shadow. Tip: Don't layer this eyeliner. The more you layer it, the more likely it will flake (it's happened to me). But of all the top-notch liquid eyeliners I've used, this one flaked the least, AND when it did flake - it didn't drop into my contacts. Also, don't try to layer this on top of oily eyelids. Wash your face and make sure your eyelids are free of oils as much as possible. It'll allow the eyeliner to adhere to your skin and buy you an extra few hours of having clean lower eyelids. I use the blackest one they have and it's always easy to draw a clean line. One tube has now lasted me 6 months without drying out (I also do not use it everyday) P.S. If you find the tip gets kinda floppy and uncontrollable, just cut the floppy bit off with scissors. My favorite!
I find that liquid liners are difficult to apply because of the tip that is on the ends of these products. The Stila liner has a brush-style end which allows you to apply a thick or thin line with ease. It dries quickly and the color stays on all day! Can't live without it!

Best I've ever used
I have very oily skin and most liquid liners would not last all day. They would either fade or smear. This liner is completely different. The felt tip is so nice and easy to create whatever look you want. It dries very fast and lasts all day. stila stays all day - literally
As most of the other reviewers have said, this is amazing. First I tried it on my hand. Perfect amount of liquid, it doesn't skip or feel dry. Easy to apply. It didn't come off my hand for 2 days!!!! Now, I'm not some nasty person who never washes their hands or showers, but seriously I scrubbed at it and it would not come off!! I used it on my eyes and it worked equally well, and to my surprise came off very easily with make up remover (I use the Neutrogena extra gentle pads - which are also awesome btw). So I used the makeup remover on my hand also, and it finally came off!!
