Horrible.
I really wish I'd read these reviews before I hauled off and bought this product. It didn't mix well, smelled like stale beer, and was far messier than liquid. It was a complete mess, dyed my scalp, and to top it off, is WAY too dark. I have used clairol's normal dyes before in the same shade(Medium Ash Brown), but this came out BLACK. When i spotted this in the store I was intrigued. Soon after, I bought a box. Now i have to be extrmely honest by saying the idea is great. The product has a no drip texture and overall it sounds like a great idea. Thank God it was free
I recieved a free coupon for this as a promotional FB giveaway so I thought why not give it a try? So I purchased it in 5R (which is the example box colour for this product on TB) because I have light brown hair and just wanted to slightly darken it. As you can see from the picture it is a nice medium brown with slight gold undertones. Well first of all the foam wasn't white, gooped allover my bathroom, and lastly smelled like I was rubbing rotting flesh all over my scalp. The chemical smell literally made me cry. I wasn't allergic to the product but it did sting my scalp so I rinsed it out early. And finally, when I woke up this morning and my hair had dried it was almost black with chunks of red!!! I did end up getting lots of complements though and don't mind it as much now but I certainly wont be buying this product again. Clairol Foam Color
I just used this for the first time a few nights ago. It is so much easier than regular color. In fact, I could't even finish the bottle because the foam covered all of my hair leaving about 1/4 of foam left. That rarely, if ever, happens to me with regular hair color. It sets in 25 minutes, but I suppose you could leave it in for another 10 to deepen certain colors. I used the natural Dark Brown and my only issue with it is that it's NOT a true Espresso Brown as shown on the box. In fact, it dried to my natural hair color, which I haven't seen in years! The Natural Dark Brown has red highlights in it, so if this isn't what you're looking for, go with another color or brand. One other issue is that even though my hair rinsed completely clean, the color left residue behind. Plus, this can stain your skin for days, so if it drops anywhere, wipe it off your skin immediately. I don't know if I will use this particular brand/color again, but I will definirely be trying out the other foam/mousse products on the market to see which one works best for me. The gloss conditioner this came with left my hair feeling salon silky, as opposed to "just colored". Great Hair Color and No Mess
I am not a huge fan of coloring my hair at home because I never get the exact shade I want and it always makes a mess, but this Clairol Color Blend Foam is the perfect solution because they have great shades to choose from with no mess. The product is so easy to use and matched my hair color that I wanted. I chose the medium blonde and got a great natural look with radiant color and the color blend foam is so easy because it stays in place with no drip. Easy and mess free
I love Clairol products, but this is one of my favorite. It is mess free and the color mix is wonderful. It's easy to use. The tones and highlights are a perfect blend. I was very impressed with the salon look I recieved from this simple foam. +easier than liquid! they should call it easy and nice! it goes on light and airy and i could have asked for more prcise directions. after doing the strand test i saw the color was very true to pakage, even though i am a frequent color changer and my hair is more porous and absorbs color faster. the amount in one box wouldnt cover my super thick, wavy shoulder legnth hair but two would have definately done it. if my hiar wasnt SO thick one wouldve been fine because the foam makes it seem to go further. the non drip foam was genious too, it is the first time ive done the red [since november of 2009!] that i didnt get a big drop of color on the floor, or toilet or somewhere! smells average to better and left my hair soft and shiny all over even though i didnt color my whole head, just roots and tips. blended well into my previoous color [herbal essences] too! — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Easier DIY Product
Although the foam does not look as nice and drip-free as in the commercial, it is easier to apply on your own hair than the regular dyes. So Easy!
I am totally happy with my purchase. I only wish coloring would have been this easy before. I have stained a few to many counters and tub edges. The washing out part is awesome too because it doesn't take long to get the foam out of your hair... unlike the liquid dyes. A quick wash and its out. My hair did get darker than what I expected. I don't know if it has to do with a Color Oops product I used a few days ago for a hair color gone wrong or if this stuff just soaks into my hair like a sponge. Either way Foam is definitely the only way I will at home color ever again. This brand was great. Color waaay off
I bought this one because i liked the foam option and it was on sale. My hair was a medium brown and the color i got was just around the same just less dull. After i was finished with the product it came out so dark it might as well have been black. My hair has also never been damaged before and when i went for a cut she said i had to cut off at least 4 inches.
