I love the tingle it gives your lips, and I love the color. I don't like how matte it appears (I usually apply a tiny amount of gloss on top), and I have to condition my lips before putting this on because it can be drying. Don't use this on chapped lips. The color does stay on longer than most lipsticks I've used. I wouldn't say this improves the condition of my lips. I'm not a lipstick sort of gal...
But I was excited to try these. I bought a set of 4 Buxom glosses and 4 Buxom lip sticks on sale. The scent is vanilla mint, and fairly pleasant (maybe a little medicinal). They do make your lips tingle, although not as badly as the lipglosses do. The color options are nice also. It does wear a bit longer than a regular lipstick, the packaging is nice, it's easy to apply with precision because it's a chunky automatic lip pencil, and it isn't drying. However, it will definitely make chapped/dry lips look worse, and it is a little expensive.
