  Perfect Matte Liptstick!

  I'm a little young to truly remember the matte lipsticks of the past - i was still a child in the 80's. However, I'm willing to try just about anything once to see if it works for me. The Mattene lipsticks - they work! The colors are beautiful, the pigment rich and intense and the finish is silky and matte. Even though ...it's definitely a matte finish, it glides on smoothly and doesn't look dried out or dry out your lips. I have two colors - a neutral and a red and both are just lovely.   Orange Dare

  This color is amazing if you're a little brave. I have fair skin and dark hair, and I wear this out at night with a little black eyeliner, mascara and a tidge of bronzer. It's definitely not for day time! People love it though, and always compliment the color, even though it is highly unusual. I wouldn't recommend it for bl...onds or redheads, but people with the Snow White kind of look or people with dark skin should definitely give it a try! December 30, 2007, 6:55 am

  Flattering is not a lie!

  I have this shade in Flattering and that is exactly what the color does. It is a pinky-beigey color that looks sort of ho-hum in the tube. But once I apply it and wait about three minutes, the color does that whole"my-lips-but-better" thing to create such a natural pout! I adore this color so much and am kickin...g myself for mot buying backups of it!! It has a creamy texture and really is matte once it sits on your for two minutes. It was a tad bit drying, but I tend to not put a base on before my lipstick, so all do that to me. Plus, the smaller diameter of the product allows for increased precision!   MAC Mattene - fabulous!!

  I just recently purchased this lipstick in a beautiful deep red shade. It does everything it claims! It goes on light as air and stays on. Most matte lipsticks can be cakey and drying, but this one is neither. I am a stickler when it comes to red lipstick staying in place - there's nothing worse than sloppy red lipstick....   Flattering!

  I love this color and formula. It's a beigey, pinky nude and looks very good on this late 40's lady. It's very neutral, the matte color is not flat, and the tube makes it easy to apply without a mirror. My complexion is in the yellow tones and my daughter tried it and it looked a bit brighter on her--with her paler pink t...oned skin.   Silky matte

  I am a big fan of matte lipsticks. And, I have always thought that MAC made some of the best. Well, they have topped themselves with this one. The color goes on smooth, silky and rich. It does not dry or chap your lips like some matte lipsticks do. The color payoff is intense, but not cakey or thick. February 27, 2008, 12:02 pm

  Beautiful matte lipstick

  I was intrigued by this line when it first came out so I got myself 3 of them. I have Poise, which is pink with a hint of yellow in it and looks great for my skin tone. I also have You Say Tomato which is the perfect red for my lips and Orange Dare, which almost looks like a loud orange. I love the way it feels on my lip...s and glides on perfectly upon application. I do top it off with lip gloss or lip balm for added moisture because matte lipsticks tend to dry out my lips, including these. Length of wear is excellent. The key is in the application.   This is one of the best lipsticks ever it goes on & stays on & for the price its reasonble & it does live up its claim it offers great value for the money so u cant go wrong & I like the way it feels to so u dont have to make hardly make any touch ups with mac mattene lip & they offer a great color choic...es October 4, 2008, 6:25 am
