This is somewhat like Clarin's primer and Smashbox's primer in that it feels slick and fills in pores, but at a more reasonable price. The packaging is decent and convenient. However, it didn't work for me. It looked great right after application, but a few hours later, my face was even oilier than it is without primer! If silicone/dimethicone type primers work for you and you're looking for something less expensive, give it a try. great for oily skin

This primer is VERY mattifying. It feels like powder when you put it on. I used this on my oily T-Zone and encountered absolutely no problems for hours! And this primer made my foundation go on very smoothly. Surprisingly, dry patches in my skin weren't accentuated by this primer. I put of buying this for a long time. I had been using DHC's Velvet Coat, which is also a fantastic makeup primer, but it costs twice as much. I finally broke down and purchased this, and I am so glad I did! It's not as silky feeling as the Velvet Coat, but for the price, it can't be beat. My makeup stays in place just as well, and Magix has SPF where the Velvet Coat does not. I even prefer this to samples I have tried from Smashbox and Lorac. This primer goes on smooth, mattifies, stays put, and has SPF. It also doesn't make my face break out, which is an issue for me. Face products with sunscreen usually cause me to break out, and also tend to make my face oilier, so I was really excited to find one that does none of the above. It also makes my face look smoother, even before I put on my makeup. I love love love this product. It's amazing. It's cheap, and works well. The SPF is a higher than average amount and it has a nice faint smell. You only need a little bit to cover your entire face. No seriously. A little goes a LONG way. It's a gel lotion but it dries into a powder as you apply it. It controls my oil for the entire day, which I like because I have super oily skin which I hate. I don't know how I even got by without this. You can wear it under foundation, but I prefer to wear it as foundation. this procut just didnt work for me,it does nothing to make my foundation look better,on the contrary,it makes it looks much worse,like a mask,like if im wearing a lot of make up,even when im not,i try using it in different ways,over moisturizer,with no moisturizer,with different moisturizers,under different foundations,and its just terrible.
