Does not last!
This product left my lips so shiny and pretty, but it was one of the worst glosses when it comes to how long it will last. I was constantly reapplying, and this wasn't with drinking or eating. I was out shopping and it was becoming such a nuisance. Nice!
Just bought this spur of the moment the other night....was heading to a concert and I forgot my usual Blistex Silk&Shine. It was pricier than my usual balm (maybe b/c it's "natural") but the color ~ Sweet Pink ~ was pretty and subtle. Lots of shine, no stickiness....without eating or drinking, it lasted about 45 minutes before I felt the need to apply again. the perfect gloss
I like to wear this when i want a natural look for my lips. I have Nectar Nude and Sweet Pink. Light shimmery color and coverage with a fruity flavor. Great natural gloss!
I didn't have any problem with texture with my tube of gloss. It was super smooth, tasty and shiny. Slightly sticky, but not bad, the biggest problem I have is the price and that isn't even that bad. This gloss was one of the better ones I've tried: it wasn't sticky, but the wear time sucked. It literally lasted half an hour on me. Another thing that annoyed me is that it had what seemed like fruit seeds in it. I like that Burt Bee's is natural, but that seeds left me nonplussed. The color was a MAJOR part of the issue. Love the color and the look, just wish it lasted longer.
Like others have noted, it doesn't see to have much staying power. This was an impulse purchase in line at my natural grocers. I never liked the Burt's Bees lip shimmer much so I was anxious to see how this one did. I love the color, Sweet Pink and the feel is great, plus it doesn't have the tingly feel of the lip shimmer line. But, it has no lasting power. I can put it on before I go to the park to walk my dogs and I need a reapplication an hour later. That isn't much. Yummy!
I read the other reviews and am not sure why some folks are having problems with a gritty feel-I haven't had that problem at all. This stuff is nice-a delicious tangerine flavor and scent, but what I love most is the super glossy finish with the light feel. I usually use a lip balm before applying any gloss,which gives it staying power, but even on it's own, this has pretty good staying power, considering the light texture. The colors are very sheer and natural, so if you're expecting a big shock of color, you might be disappointed. The Pucker Upper
This is my favorite item to carry for my lips. I love the glossy look without the sticky mess. I'd tried other glosses and always ended up feeling like I was putting a glob on honey on my lips, and therefore attracted all kinds of flying debris into them! Lint, fuzz, dirt, hair...could not walk against the wind or make any sudden turns! GROSS! Burt's Bees gloss does not have that messy effect.
