41 years old, Native American, olive/copper complexion, freckles (sun damage!), occasional hormonal acne, long, naturally straight black virgin hair. Prefer drugstore products and make-up with an occasional splurge at Sephora every now & then. Habitual product user (if it works, I'm sticking with it) with a preference towards natural-looking make-up...usually deep brown eyeshadow, black liner & mascara. Prefer nude/peachy-pink lips or just a swipe of Blistex Silk n Shine, due to my usual smokey eyes, but am currently experimenting with wearing red lipstick. With my olive skin, it's hard to find a color that looks good on me AND that I actually like. May be hard to get used to wearing more on my lips than on my eyes, so we'll see.

As I'm getting older, I'm realizing that what I could once get away with make-up-wise is no longer true. I feel silly wearing glittery lavender eyeshadow and find myself deeming more and more of my makeup (usually eyeshadows) cringeworthy for someone over 40. I do like an occasional sparkle, but tend to keep it low-key and subtle. I've learned that less is more. 

Overall, my main concerns are my newly acquired rosacea (ugh!), hormonal acne and my rapidly graying hair - which has seemed to really taken off within the last 6 months. Very few wrinkles so far - I religiously use sunscreen and Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle cream on my face and neck daily - but I'm sure the lines are on their way. :/

I love this site for the reviews and usually check them before I buy a new product. The articles and beauty tips are great, too.  :)
