Max Factor Vivid Impact Highlighting Mascara Reviews

Nope...
Ok, if you REALLY want the color to show up from this mascara, you have to use the tip of the brush and dip it in and out of the mascara and line each lash. If you don't do that then... well good luck getting any color on your lashes, oh and the normal color mascara Sucks! I would recommend using a different base entirely. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

pink and black
i thought, wow, black, of course, with pink tips, GLAM<3. but no. you get a good lush fringe from the black side, but the pink doesnt show on it. and it takes away some of the depth of the black, instead of adding intrigue. not a bad product, just not a wow result. Good for a hint of contrast, not as advertised.
The mascara in these don't do that much for length and volume. It is mostly about color. The base coat goes on well, but if you are looking for the high contrast that the advertisements show, you will be disappointed. I found that the highlighting topcoat just added a sheen of color which shimmers and sparkles but is more noticed when you are moved or in sunlight. An eyelash comb is useful to get out any clumps since you need to put it on thickly to get a good shade of color. It is reasonably priced and there are a good range on colors. Overall, I enjoyed this mascara but for me it loses major points for the advertising which makes you think that there will be a lot more contrast with this. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nothing Different
This mascara would not be my first choice when shopping for a mascara. I found that the rubber wand did not distribute the mascara evenly. Also, the highlighting colored shade did not show up at all. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Golden glamour
I purchased the brown and gold duo. I like how the mascara wand nicely separates the lashes to coat evenly. The gold accentuates glamorously. Makes for a nice mascara for a special event, or a fun night out. — 5 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

So Much Fun
I bought this a couple years ago, threw it in my makeup collection and forgot about it until recently. I have the black/ silver combo and it's so much fun. The silver really stands out. After I put on the black base I will put the silver on backwards, then just the tips normal way. It looks really good. I wish I had used this sooner, because now I can't find it anywhere. I'm going to have to hunt it down on line. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

VIVID??
Not so much.. I purchased the black and pink combo. The black went on nicely, then I applied the pink, again I applied the pink. But I never got the look I was going for. I even asked my friends if they saw any hint if any other color than black on my lashes. They all said NO! I am only giving it a 4 because I liked the black portion. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Fun to experiment with
These are fun mascaras to try out. I originally tried one (Blushing Blue) had a blue base and a pink highlighter. I was so disappointed because the pink was not a visible pink, just something that made my lashes not so dark, and the base color wasn't as blue as I would have liked. So I used up the blue anyway and cursed Max Factor. Recently I decided to give these another try based on blogger Clumps of Mascara's results, plus they were on clearance for $5 since Max Factor won't be selling in America anymore. I'm glad I gave these another chance because the two I have now, Burning Bordeaux and 24 Karat Brown are great. Burning Bordeaux has a red-brown base with a reddish-pink highlight. 24 Karat Brown also has a brown base but with a coppery-gold highlight. Both these shades are clearly visible and are a cool and funky change. The base coats are not very noticeable on black lashes but you can tell that its not just black mascara. Also they did not seem to be particularly lengthening or voluminizing but they do leave you with clean, defined lashes ready for the highlight coat. I did not experience any flaking either. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Maybe not for me...
What an amazing concept to add some fun to your eyelashes! I do think this product works in general, however, it kind of looks silly with my skin tone. It would definitely be for a night out, not at all a daytime mascara! :) — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
