Good but a bit drying (?)
I tried this product because I have oily/acne prone skin. The finish it gave my skin was FLAWLESS! My makeup went on smoothly and it seemed to last a long time. I did notice however that It didn't help much with shine...by the end of the work day I was already 'shining through' and another con I noticed was that after a while it felt as if it was drying my skin too much so I stopped using it and now use Rimmel London tinted primer.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

smashbox cosmetics are the BEST!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer light

Liked the original better
I had already tried the original version and really loved it but, I wanted to try this one based on the fact that I have oily skin. I did not like it as much as the original. I felt like it did nothing for me. It felt like putting water on my face and it did not hold my makeup at all. I use the original formula everyday with Cosmedicine Oil Control Lotion and I don't have to reapply my powder every 5 mintues. LOVE IT, WILL NOT GIVE UP ON THIS EVER!
As a 22-year-old woman with Oily, Acne prone skin and living in the swealtring heat of Arizona, primer is a MUST! I used to use the original smasbox primer and found it sufficiant, howver, when the Primer Light came into my life I jumped for joy. This works AMAZINGLY well as a primer. I love it, I have never "needed" a product more than this. It keeps my pores to a minimum and helps what...read moreever I use glide onto my skin. I even use it as an eyeshadow primer when I don't have any. Also, if you buy this from Sephora, buy it in the little tubes! If you buy two of the little ones, its the equivalent of buying, more of the regular size with less cost AND you can get the last bits of primer out easier with the tube than the pump. Just a hint... fantastic for oily skin
There is such a huge difference between this primer and Smashbox's original Photo Finish. The original always felt like it made my oily/combo skin feel worse than before I washed it!
