Cream liners are much easier to apply than liquids and offer the same dramatic results, but finding one that has the staying power of a liquid is challenging. This "putty" definitely lasts, but if your skin is oily, throughout the day you'll be mopping up product from your lids where the cream has transferred. Yes, the 11 colors are impressive, and you get a generous amount of the product in the pot -- a plus since it's a little pricey.

    Pretty Colors

    I love most of Smashbox's lines and think that they have a definite leading edge in the cosmetic industry. This particular liner in my opinion is not one of their best items. I have a sampler containing 5 different colors and although the shades are beautiful, they don't last on me. I am the kind of woman that normally wear... I am the kind of woman that normally wears waterproof mascara, liner, etc., because I don't want or have time to keep having to touch up or reapply my makeup throughout the day or evening.     I adore this eyeliner!I was a hard sell on cream liners , but i cant get enough of this product! It goes on so smooth no tugging, brilliant colors, and best of all it is so versitile! I wear it alone for a more natural look, or layer it on top of a pencil liner and it looks sooo good and lasts all day, and prevents my over...     Disappointed

    I really wanted to like this product. The colors are beautiful. The product goes on easy enough if you use the special application brush. However it does not last long at all as claimed. Everytime I appliced this eye liner is smeared under my hours within 4 hours or so. I have never had a problem with other eye liners ...     Love this liner--excellent color options, and it's so easy to apply I can do it in my 5-minute morning makeup sprint. The brush is the key--don't try to use another brush, and always follow the directions.     long lasting line

    I love this product,it not only is a great price but it lasts forever and it glides right on very smooth no tugging and the colors are beautiful on. I will never use another pencil liner again! This is top ranking June 3, 2008, 3:46 pm

    Easy to use

    I got this product as part of a set, and was really glad I had the opportunity to try it. It is fun to apply and looks great whether you're going natural or more dramatic. I didn't have a problem with it wearing off or smearing during the day--it stayed put just fine for me. May 13, 2008, 9:26 am

    Good product

    I really like this eyeliner. It has good lasting power for me, goes on with a nice, clean line, and doesn't irritate my sensive eyes. It does take a little getting used to the thick formula, just to learn how to work with it. It goes on well when almost "dabbed" on, rather than "brushed" on. May 6, 2008, 8:28 pm

    Great Idea, but doesn't stay put.

    If you like this form-factor, go for Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner instead. This liner is easy to put on without tugging, which is nice, but it does not stay put for more than 4 hours. I do not usually have a problem with eyeliner disappearing throughout the day, but this stuff was practically gone by lunchtime. May 5, 2008, 5:22 pm

    This eyeliner stays on and doesn't disappear by lunch time as pencils do. Liquid eyeliner gives a harsh unnatural line but this eyeliner can be smudged before it sets giving you a natural look. It lasts all day and for me, that is a plus! Wonderful colors and you can order the brush for easier application. I'm so glad I...     Ok, I'll admit that I didn't even use eyeliner up until a few years ago. I had tried pencils and liquid and ended up poking myself in the eye and looking like a racoon. This eyeliner is great for the novice and you can develop your technique or use different colors as you get comfortable. If you do make a mistake, it is v...   • Directions

  • Using BRUSH #9 pick up a small amount of product and apply to the upper and/or lower lashline, following the natural contour of the eye. Try using an eye liner that contrasts your eye color to make them stand out (e.g. Blue eyes try a deep brown like MIDNIGHT BROWN or a green like MIDNIGHT GREEN. Green eyes try a rich purple like MIDNIGHT PURPLE and brown eyes can try a brighter gold like SMASHING IMAGE.) remember, rich black like SMASHING CAVIAR gives great definition and looks striking on all eye colors
