Smashbox Cream Eye Liner Reviews

Not the best cream liner I've found...
LipglossandSpandex (487 reviews)I bought this as part of the Brow Tech & Cream Eye Liner Palette in the Try Me! set. The following cream liners were included: Image (sparkly green black), Caviar (black), Thunder (grey), Picasso (midnight blue), Putty (brownish grey), Midnight Brown (dark brown). I like the high pigmentation of this liner, as well as the creamy quality. While I understand the concept of cream liners being soft smudgable for smokey eyes, IMO they they should set eventually so that they look the same later in the day as they did when you were finished applying your makeup. I actually don't have smudging problems with this product (no raccoon eyes or anything like that)-- it just doesn't last (it just seems to disappear...) However, I think it's a little overpriced given the quality--I cannot get the liner to last on my lower lashline for more than a few hours even using eye primer and setting it with some powder. Overall: This isn't my HG, feel that there are better d/s cream liners (Jane's is pretty decent!) and also much better h/e liners (I like Stila's smudgepot much better). — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Okay
volta (516 reviews)This goes on creamy and evenly with an angled brush, but it isn't as dark black as I would like it to be. You need to layer it to get a darker color, but that takes too much time and it becomes cakey. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Review: Smashbox Cream Eye Liner
aly7 (385 reviews)Love this! I got the holiday one "Envy" which is black with small blue and silver glitter. It stays on all day, and it does not smudge or smear! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I prefer liquids
TBjunkie (678 reviews)This works ok and the quality is great but I just prefer liquid liner instead — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Smashbox Cream Eye Liner
msbrown822 (190 reviews)This eyeliner is very easy to use. It compliments the trio that I own (I have them in browns) and has great staying power. It lasted through a wedding! My eyes looked great. I'm sure that for a more dramatic nighttime look that I could go with darker colors, but I'm happy with this product. I've never used cream eyeliner before but now I think I may change my mind. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Smooth and easy to apply
italiaca (222 reviews)I tried this as part of the palette with a range of colors. Easy to apply. Much easier than liquid liner and great colors. Stayed throughout the day. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nice liner
tallredamanda (150 reviews)To be fair, this is the only cream liner I've ever tried, but I did like it! I don't care for the fact that it takes extra time to put on a cream liner with a brush (compared to how quickly I can pop the lid off a pencil and line my eyes) but it does make a very nice line that looks a little different from what I can get from a pencil. This liner also had decent staying power, though I'd like to try out a few other brands to see if I can find something just a little better. It does go on very smoothly, though, and is available in a gorgeous variety of colors. However, if it starts to dry out, it gets clumpy and difficult to apply evenly — 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Dries too quickly
beautyguru_24_7 (273 reviews)You need to really seal the lid tight on these or they dry out too fast. The texture is a little too thick to begin with for me, but I'm not a great eyeliner expert so that could be the issue. I also have a much harder time using this with their #9 flat eyeliner brush that in my opinion is too stiff and not thin enough to really have control. — 3 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

blah
Miss_Vicki (253 reviews)This was one of the items in the "Master's Class Glamour Eyes" kit I bought. I'm so glad I didn't buy this by itself. I found it hard to get a good line when applying this. After only a few hours, it's allover my eye lids and under my eyes. It also transfers real bad if your lids are oily. I'm glad the kit also contained the Jet Set liner, which is so much better, — 2 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
