Urban Decay Eyeshadow Reviews

Hi-pigmented!
These are highly pigmented and true colored. They go on so smoothly and last for a long time. They last even longer if you use an eyeshadow primer (something I cannot live without). I love how many colors they come in. Naturally these are a bit pricey, so I tend to invest in the shadow books that UD puts out. You get the most bang for your buck with those. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

My favorite eyeshadows!
I own the Book of Shadows II, the Naked palette, and several of the regular "sewer cover" style single eyeshadows like the ones pictured. While there are a few shades that I would consider duds, almost all of the eyeshadows from Urban Decay are AMAZING. The pigmentation is rich, the consistency is smooth and never chalky, the packaging is cool and edgy yet sturdy, it lasts all day, and while a bit spendy, is worth every penny. While I'm not a fan of glittery shadows for everyday wear, Urban Decay makes some real glitter bombs (which is good or bad, depending on your preferences). They have a wide array of colors--an entire rainbow, really. You can find great everyday shadows that are perfect for the office (neutrals in both matte and shimmer), as well as over the top, going out clubbing shades! — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

not a fan
i bought this eyeshadow in a light pink color and a black color. both of these eyshadows were PACKED with glitter. not shimmer, but like, chunky glitter. it was a total mess and transferred all over my face, the amount of fallout on these is ridiculous. and maybe i wouldnt have had so much fallout if they were more pigmented and i didnt need to pick up so much eyeshadow. please do not waste your time on these eyeshadows. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Excellent Quality
These shadows are of the highest quality. They have recently been relaunched as well and have even improved. They are highly pigmented and the shimmers slide on effortlessly. The mattes need a bit more work to get them on perfectly, but they are also very easy to work with once you get the hang of it. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

You get what you pay for...
Urban decay makes great quality makeup and I love the packaging. These shadows stay safe in this tin type of container that looks super cool too. I love all of the colors. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 4 people said helpful

Uncontrollable glitter
I don't want to judge a whole line by trying one color, but I really do not like their "Midnight Cowboy Rides Again" shade at all. I have never had a chance to use another UD eyeshadow, but this is perhaps one of the worst eye shadows I've ever used. Way too glitterly, but no color. The worst part for me was the glitter did not stay. It was all over my face and on my lashes, and one time a few sparkles got in my eyes. I tried to use it with a primer, but still I could not control it. I could imagine this would be very popular during the disco era, or today's fashionable people at a club/party. But I think I am too old to wear this. Well, it's not called "Midnight" for nothing. What was I thinking...I like the package though... — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

GLITTER!!!
I love glitter. If you do not like glitter get the hell away from Urban Decay! lol. Now with that said; this is my favorite company to buy eye shadow from. The best pigmentation and packaging on the market! A little pricey but so is any make up that has hearts and skulls on it [and we all need those on our lip glosses, right?!]. This eye shadow even lasts without an eye primer but I get a bit oily sometimes so I usually use the Primer Potion from UD as well. I love that it comes in a "subway token" it reminds me of when I used to live in the city *le sigh* So many colors to choose from and even a couple of mattes for you boring gals [no offense hehe]. One reviewer mentioned to take off excess glitter from cheeks with tape and she is SO right! But I love my glitter so I do not have the heart to take them off :D — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Right up their with MAC!
When it comes to eyeshadow I currently have 3 to die for brands who I know will never fail me when it comes to pigmentation and quality: MAC ofcourse, NYX, and Urban Decay. I love how UD i never afraid to ome out with bold, bright and beautiful colours while other companies like to play it safe. Lasts for hours with or without UD's primer potion. These shadows are deffinatelyan essential for any makeup lover. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Way too glittery
I have this shadow in Midnight Cowboy. It's a gorgeous color, but it is so glittery it's almost distracting. I don't know that I'd purchase additional colors just based on that. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

a total win again
you really do have to find a color you like in a finish you like [glitter? matte? shimmer?] other than that you get what you see in the cutie coin pots. i wear 'half baked' alot bc it makes my eyes sureal blue, but it would work well on a darker girl to bring out golden skintones too. it lasts long and doesnt crease too much, but if you pair it with the primer you get to decide when it comes off. you can apply this with a fingertip and still look glam! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful
