    midnight cowboy rides again ......

    by miss_lorraine (11 reviews)
way too much shimmer and i never thought id say that ..haha but here are some tips if you felt the same way.. 1. wear it wet ..it minimizes the messyness of the sparkles 2. if any sparkles fall on you cheek either embrace them or use some scotch tape to remove..it wont remove your other makeup like your foundation.. ...3.apply it with your finger rather than a brush then you wont have to worry about brushing the large sparkles all over your face..and actually i found if you rub your finger in the pot and then blow on your finger before applying, most of the sparkles blow off your finger leaving just the color which you can wear in the day time for another option.. great pigmentation

    by boopsharley (25 reviews)
I was always a Loreal eyeshadow girl and I still believe in Loreal but Urban Decay is totally worth the money. The pigmentation is rich. I want to see the color when I put it on my eyelids. I also use their eye primer and my eye makeup stays on all day long. They have great colors. Some are really sparklly and will get on o...ther parts of your face but for night wear, I like the sparkles. Their main color to have is blunt. It's a shimmery beige/yellowish color. Perfect for a basic everyday color. You can use it on your lower lid and as a highlighter by your brow. Copper is a fun shimmering color. It's a hot color. They are the best! May 30, 2008, 12:41 pm

    Pretty and fun colors

I own 4 of Urban Decay's eyeshadows. One is Chopper (glitter/shimmer), the others are Illegal, Chronic and Shakedown (matte). Since Chopper is the most recent UD item I acquired, this review will be based on that. Chopper looks like a medium glittery taupe-brown in the container. On my NC35 skin, the eyeshadow looks li...ke a medium shimmery, peachy-pink taupe.. This is the ONLY glittery eyeshadow I own as I'm not big on anything with glitter in them but...I found this color interesting so I picked it up. A great "all over the lid" color or as a base for other, more intense shadows though I prefer to wear this at night when going out to dinner with the hubby to brighten and add sparkle to the eye area. I tried using it as a highlighter but on me, the color is a bit too dark for that and didn't really bring out my brow bone. Someone with a darker skin tone than myself might be able to pull it off though. The glitter is actually not bad. I thought it was going to be too much but it's micro-glitter, not big shiny flakes of it. The micro glitter does tend to get almost everywhere on my face upon application, including corners of eyes and some on cheeks. I just take my powder brush and brush them off. I'm going to try the other colors UD has to offer as I really like their consistency and color pay-off. November 3, 2008, 4:07 pm

    Hallejulah! Colors So Vivacious!

    by Starluxe (300 reviews)

I must admit at first, the casing didn't appeal to me. I was always the tradition luxe appeal kind of gal so even the subtle black or silver casing at the drugstore caught my attention better than Bonne Bell's colorful tactics. However, after a while, I got curious as to why these sell plenty at Sephora and with a swipe o...f my finger, color instantly true to the pot! I purchased a few and took them home and read the little embossed logo at the bottom that states it's "Good for one fare" then I caught on and these are called "Token Eyeshadows" so I thought it was cute and creative; that sure changed my opinion. These colors are very true to life, rich, vibrant, and come in TONS of finishes. I couldn't believe it when I had done a beautiful plum smokey look, it looked fabulous! Not to mention that even though they sell a primer, this lasted me the whole day without needing one. And the more better side of it? These are usable wet for a very opaque dramatic look, as if the colors dry weren't already intense. These range from the lightest matte peachy and white pretty shades to the sultriest blacks and browns in shimmery, sheens, and mattes. Ooh, how I LOVE you Urban Decay. I'm very strongly judgemental when it comes to eyeshadow so if it even leaves fall out or creases, I'm an unhappy camper already. This one definitely is as good as MAC, if not even better. Hmmm

    by NewYorkNewYork (6 reviews)
So... My first encounter with this eyeshadow was when I was 18 years old and very much into the club scene. It was my favorite thing in the world. Now 25 and settled down, I ran across this eyeshadow at sephora.com and instantly recalled how much I loved it... When it arrived in the mail, I wore it the next day to work, o...nly to find out that it looked like I was getting ready to go to a Poison concert!!! It looked ridiculous, as the glitter got all over my face. So, long story short... this eyeshadow is great if you're going out partying, but not so great if you are no longer 18 years old and don't wish to look like an 80s glam rocker at work. Beautiful Colors that Stay On

    by joycecb (6 reviews)
This eye shadow comes in lots of colors, from neutrals to really unusual brights. They go on smooth and stay on all day. I'm no makeup pro and I even got a compliment from a salesperson in Sephora when I was wearing this. My favorite shadow, in any color. October 18, 2007, 7:55 am

    Oh so seductive!

    by Popsicle7920 (17 reviews)
There should be a law against shadows this delectable! Shimmery, colorful, sexy, bold, daring, ultra-mag labeling, what more could a girl ask for? How can a name as disgusting as Mildew still make my eyes pop? All the shades are delightful. You just can't go wrong. If you're feeling a bit timid about the brightness of the p...igment try a sampler palette first. Trust me, you'll find a fav and shell out for the single shadow later. May 19, 2008, 11:28 am

    Sexy, sultry, subtle or bold!

I LOVE the UD eyeshadows. Make sure to use with the UD eyeshadow primer for a perfect look. Now that they've got mattes too, gals who don't like the glitter should be happy. I like a little shimmer (especially on the weekend) and depending on how you use them these are perfect for everything from that sparkly rockstar lo...ok to a more subtle and sophisticated workday eye. Pricy, but worth it. April 30, 2008, 7:07 am

    Great color selection, great shadows.

i love these eyeshadows. They are rich and come in some really unique colors. They also have some really metallic colors that you can't really get elsewhere. The staying power is great, to maximize it use their primer!!! I don't like the glitter shadows though.. their texture seems to be a little different. The packaging is... cute too! I'd recommend this to anyone, especially if you're looking for bold colors. April 29, 2008, 2:11 pm

Pretty and lasting and a tip for the glitter

    by IrishJane (135 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
I love Urban Decay products and these are no exception! The colours are sheer but can be adjusted to your preference. Very smooth application, very blendable. As far as the glitter eyeshadows go, try using a damp brush to apply these shadows. It helps keep the glitter on the eyelid as it is being applied rather than dustin...g off underneath eyes or tops of cheeks. April 28, 2008, 11:33 am
