Miracles DO happen!!

Being 40+ can wreck havoc on your skin....it's a constant battle, but with Hope in a Jar in your arsenal, you'll be the ultimate warrior!! Cloudlike consistency instantly absorbs into your skin without any greasy residue. You will visably notice a difference in just days. I would love to see this in tube form (1oz) for travel purposes. I would just curl up and die if this was ever taken off the market!

What do they put in this stuff?

This is the only moisturizer that I've found so far that does everything I need it to. I have searched high and low for the perfect moisturizer at a reasonable price. I don't have much money to spend so I steered clear of the department store brands for such a staple product (since I would probably be purchasing the product every few months). but Sephora sent me a sample of Hope in a Jar and I am ...read moreso glad they did. I have combination skin so my t-zone can get oily and shiny throughout the day but certain areas are dry. It is very light so it does not make my skin get oily but it is moisturizing enough to battle the drying effects of the winter weather. It's also light enough for me to wear to bed so I use it morning and night! My only concerns are the ingredients. I can't pronounce any of them!

Weird smell

I like the light, watery texture and it absorbs well into the skin. However, there is this weird smell to it, like wet, soggy, nasty mushrooms. Bad earthy scent. With certain products the scent kind of grows on you, but this one is just unpleasant. I applied in all over face except under and around the nose, but even at that, I wanted to gag. If you can stand the smell, otherwise it is a light moisturizer.

Smells terrible

I thought when I got this that it would have a small amout of fragrance. It had none. I have to live the smell of somthing before I will buy it. I'm sure they do this for people that are intollerant to perfume. I didn't get much results from this either. beargrad

Great all year long

Hope in a Jar works miracles all year long. It's not too heavy in the Summer and not too light in the Winter. My skin always feels perfectly moisturized. My face also has a nice glow when I use this.

little pricey but good stuff

this stuff is a little on the pricey side but I do like it. I just wish the cost would come down a bit.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar

60 year old female - Philosophy Hope in a Jar is the best moisturizer that I have ever used. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. It leaves my skin soft and radiant looking. It is well worth the purchase.

Whats all the complaints about?!

I tried this cream when it was given as sample with the oxygen peel (which by the way is a fav of mine) i bought and i took an instant liking to it even though the name of the product made me dislike it from the start! My skin was super clean from the oxygen peel and the cream left my skin feeling lovely soft, protected and glowing for the rest of the day. So after i finished the sample i bought ...read more'hope in a jar' and i use it all the time now, not only after the peeling. I love it and works really well for me, it betters, stabilizes my skin condition (used to hav sensitive skin) and leaves it hydrated and fresh for the whole day. And i did NOT find the smell obnoxious like every one else seems to comment. Yes it doesnt smell like velvet or vanilla but it works wonders on my skin and absorbs quickly and therefor gives me what i need from a face cream. Just because it doesnt smell like your fav body cream or perfume doesnt mean it stinks, it works and has improved the quality of my skin a whole lot so it has satisfied me completely and i will recommend it to anyone in a blink of an eye!

This product is amazing!

My mom and sister got me hooked on this. I have mostly oily skin with some dry spots and Hope in a Jar takes care of it all.

great every day moisturizer

this is a great moisturizer for every day. It has a mild exfoliant in it (lactic acid) that helps to keep skin smooth. It is also very moisturizing, and is a great value for the price!
