Perfect for 63 year old mom
I gave this product 8 stars for two reasons. First, this works great for my mom who is 63 with major sun damage and very dry skin. She loves this, and never goes without it. So why an 8 and not a 10? I am 37 with combination skin, and this irritated my skin. Not the best but it is good

I don't think this is "suitable for all skin types"
I have oily/combo skin with adult acne, and my mom has very dry skin. And both of us did not like this face cream. I got this cream because it says "suitable for all skin types" at Sephora about 3 years ago. I thought, wow, that would be great because my T-zone and cheeks are oily but around my mouth and chin often gets dry in winter. It felt heavy and greasy on my skin, and as many reviewers indicated, it smelled very unnatural. Philosophy is good at making lovely scented products, so why this one smells so weird? Fortunately, the yucky scent disappeared right after I applied. Other than the greasiness, I thought my skin was hydrated and felt smoother. Then, I realized that my acne got worse in a few days. It was quite expensive for face cream, so I gave it to my mom who usually uses very rich moisturizer such as L'Occitane Ultra Rich Face Cream. She never refuses a gift, but this one, she did!! After she opened the jar and tried it on her hands, she just said, no thanks, this stinks. lol. I did not know what to do with it, and I ended up using as a hand cream. A very expensive hand cream indeed. My hands were nicely moisturized and became soft while using it. I hate to disagree with people who love this, but I still don't get why some of my friends rave about this. Funky Scented Rich Cream
I have to agree with everyone else that this cream has a very strange scent to it. When I first touched it I thought that I was going to break out because the cream feels greasy even on your finger tips. Once applied to the skin the cream instantly settles in to the skin. It does not leave behind an oily residue either. The smell does seem to linger on my skin, however. It reminds me of sun screen that is starting to go bad. I used this cream only on the drier parts of my face and VERY sparingly a little goes quite a long ways. I did not break out from this product either and I have oily & acne prone skin. I find this cream very overpriced & I do not like the packaging very much. It is cute looking but I do not like having to stick my fingers in my face creams. Not for oily skin
This product smells bad and feels very greasy on my skin. It's pricy but the performance is less than average. There are drugstore brands (like Olay total effects 7) that feels and works much nicer. Not for me.

Horrible texture
I was really disappointed when I tried this. I used the whole jar hoping that I would see some end result but it was to no avail. I hated the texture and it didn't leave my skin hydrated.
