Hate.
DIdn't like the smell, made my hair flat, lifeless and dull, and covered with a waxy coating. This is a really bad product, and quite expensive. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Fig Cleansing Conditioner
The Fig Cleansing Conditioner is a universal cleanser that is wonderful for medium to coarse, wavy to curly, and ethnic hair. Due to its rich, dense consistency, it works exceptionally well at moisturizing, hydrating, and replenishing dry, heat damaged, color treated, or dehydrated hair. The Fig Cleansing Conditioner should be applied in four sections: crown, nape, ends on the right, and ends on the left. For hair above your ears, use a minimum of eight pumps (two pumps per section). For hair above your shoulders, use a minimum of 12 pumps (three pumps per section). For hair down to your shoulders, use a minimum of 16 pumps (four pumps per section). For hair past your shoulders, use a minimum of 20 pumps (five pumps per section). For hair to your mid-back, use a minimum of 24 pumps (six pumps per section). For thicker/coarser hair, increase amount of pumps in order to thoroughly cleanse the scalp and hydrate ends until hair is thoroughly saturated with product. Do a quick repeat and rinse (half the pumps) for any buildup and this also helps with manageability. I know the amount sounds like a lot but your hair stays cleaner much longer so you won't need as much. You can mix Wen's cleansing conditioners to get the best possible results. Please try this more than once, before giving up on it. It can take a couple of times to get the hang of it, but it is so worth it! Wen products are natural and work with your hairs chemistry to give you the healthiest hair you have ever had. I have not used anything but Wen for over 2 years and I always get compliments on my hair from stylists. They tell me they rarely see hair as healthy as mine and I always tell them it's Wen! This product also works great for your dogs. This is gentle enough not to irritate their skin, and gets their coats healthy and shiny! Can other products say that? — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Wen Cleasing Conditioner
I bought a set of each scent and was excited to try them out. Unfortunately, all but the Sweet Almond Mint were a MAJOR disappointment. This one in particular left my naturally wavy/curly hair GREASY as all h@!!. Initially my hair felt like silk, but later in the day it was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this to a soul! — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Where do I begin
The cleansing of the sulfate free cleansing conditioner worked for me but it left my mom's short hair greasy looking. My hair was supple and soft. However, the fig scent was horrendous. I figured I would give it a try and the second time I used it I still felt ill. I'm off to try the lavender and the sweet almond mint. Hopefully those smell better. The cost for this cleansing conditioner is rather steep for a 6 oz bottle. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 36 of 39 people said helpful

OK, but not worth the money
I gave in and tried Wen but don't think it's worth all the hype. It did a fine job of cleansing my hair and the fragrance is great, but it didn't make my hair look any different, so I can't justify the cost. I did some reading online and found that a lot of women are using any hair conditioner to cleanse their hair and I've found it works better than Wen! I rinse my hair well, use an egg size amount of any conditioner and work it through my hair. Leave it in my hair while I shower, then add a little water and massage the conditioner through my hair and then rinse. My hair is healthier and my hair color lasts a lot longer. I do wash my hair with traditional shampoo about once a week to make sure I don't have any product build up. It's amazing the difference in my hair since I stopped shampooing every day. Wen just didn't deliver enough results for the high price. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

A bit heavy
I love the Wen cleansing conditioners, but this one weighed down my hair a bit much. As always, I followed the directions exactly ( I think that is where a lot of people have trouble with Wen), but the fig was just too heavy. I will stick to my sweet almond mint! — 1 week, 4 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

WEN Fig
I love this product, I've been using it exclusively for 6+ years, every time I've tried to go back to "the store stuff" I've hated it. I love Wen, my hair is soft, it isn't crunchy it isn't always perfect but it is nice hair. — 4 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

WEN Cleanser
As an African American, I constantly try different shampoos and conditioners to find the best one for my hair and my two daughters. We all have different hair textures. My 18 yr. old has loose waves and is very thick and coarse. My 14 yr. old has very thin, fine hair with a tighter wave. My hair is in between texture and thick. A year ago I purchased the Sweet Almond Mint to try. I don't know if I didn't use it properly - not using enough pumps - but I wasn't thrilled with the product. About 5 months later, a co-worker who has used WEN for over 3 years told me that I HAD to try it again and try a different scent. She gave me a bottle of her Fig to use. Now by this time, my daughters had both decided they no longer wanted a relaxer in their hair so there was approximately 6 months of new growth. When I used it this time, it was like magic! The awful first few months of new growth, after using the WEN the first time again, were silky smooth. It was as if I relaxed their hair again but did not. The poofiness was gone, and the frizz. I ordered more such as the Gardenia, Mango, and Pomegranate and loved all of these! Once I saw what it did for their hair, I stopped relaxing mine. The last time I relaxed mine was in May of 2012. In about Sept., Later, I ran out of the WEN and put off purchasing more because I was too lazy. I went back to using an expensive brand that I had left over from before. My youngest complained that she didn't know what was wrong with her hair. It was always frizzy. My hair maintained a permanent poofiness where the new growth was and started becoming frizzy again. I thought maybe it was the time of year since Los Angeles can get foggy in the fall. In October, I finally purchased more WEN - actually 6 bottles of it giving my girls their favorite scents and mailing one of them to my mother in Seattle. Immediately after using it again, my hair looked fabulous. My youngest no longer complains. I am 53 yrs. old and have relaxed my hair since I was 13 except for when I was pregnant. I am so glad that I stopped the chemicals that were damaging and breaking off our hair. WEN is the ONLY reason we are able to do this. WEN is the only product that I will use the rest of my life. My oldest goes off to college next fall and even though she will wear her hair "wash and go", she said she must have WEN with her. Curls are more defined, hair isn't all over her head because of the poofiness. I am so glad that my co-worker encouraged me to use it again. It does take getting use to how it doesn't lather but soon you become used to that and the silkiness that you feel when you wash your hair. I am SOLD! By the way, my oldest and I used 15 pumps the first time and 10 the next. Our hair is past our shoulders. The more we use WEN the less we needed each time we wash. Now we have found a happy medium. My youngest, with the very thin, fine hair to her shoulders, uses 10 pumps each time. — 4 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
