A bit oily

I love MAC's Prep + Prime line of products, but this primer was a bit too oily.. It does have a nice feel to it, but it causes too much slip and its hard to blend foundation. It had a bit too much slip. For dryer skin types, this would probably work best. It does give a nice shine but for my skin, it didnt work so well.. For the price, I would rather use the Smashbox or MUD primers. — 11 months, 1 week ago

Didn't do anything for me

I don't know why, but I have never found a primer that agreed with my skin. This feels silky and soft, and I like the luminescence, but it did NOTHING to help my makeup stay longer/look better. Sorry, but that's all I have to say about it. Sad :( — 2 years, 7 months ago

This primer is a good substitute when you don't want to shell out $40 for a Smashbox primer. It makes your makeup glide on easier, but in terms of reapplying during the day and controlling oil, Smashbox is a bit better. But still, it is a superb product and a lot better than a lot of other primers out there. And it's very reasonably priced, so I don't oppose to it. — 4 years, 4 months ago

I don't dislike MAC's primer, I just think that it was only "okay". It feels nice and goes on well but It doesn't keep my make-up looking as fresh as long as Smashbox's Photo Finish or L'Oreal's Studio Fix. — 1 year ago

Did not work for me

I tried this after reading all the positive reviews, this product did not live up to the hype as far as I am concerned. The product is thin, and seem to leave a sheen. I have oily skin with large pores and I need a product that keeps the oil and bay, and can hide my large pores and this product did not perform. I do think, however it did brighten my face a little. But I cant wait to finish it up so I can add it to my other MAC empty products to get the free lip color. — 3 years, 5 months ago

I have the worst combo-skin ever...but this product doesn't break me out at all. Also it keeps my skin matte and makes my foundation go on effortlessly!! Even though I'm a MAC junkie...

I buy almost everything MAC. I just don't find this works! Made my skin oily and my make up slide off. For a better option, I would try Smashbox Photo Finish primer. It makes my pores disappear and my skin look flawless even before any make up application. A 100% better option. — 1 year, 1 month ago
