    I love it.

    by DearCrumpet (4 reviews)
Okie so I've got really dry skin and no matter how well I moisturized, my foundation would go on streaky or cakey or bring out any flakiness. When i first bought this I didn't think it would make much of a difference but I put foundation on one day without it and omg, i could really tell. It glides on so silkily and smoot...hly but it doesn't feel heavy at all. You need to let it dry for a minute or so before putting on foundation but I don't mind that. I use Studio Finish concealer which has a reputation for being really thick and hard to put on but with the primer it went on perfectly. I've also noticed that I use much less foundation than I used to before the primer and there's less rub-off. My skin doesn't get very oily (just a small tad on my forehead) so I can't really judge how it does with that but the coverage i now get with my foundation it much more even and smooth. Since it's so silky, just a pump and a half of the primer is all I need to cover my whole face. I haven't broken out from it, my sensitive skin hasn't reacted to it at all,and it doesn't feel like I have a film on my face. The only complaint i have is the packaging. I know that if I were to cut it open once no more product came out, there'd be tons left on the sides of the container just like with Urban Decay Primer Potion. May 25, 2008, 7:21 pm

    Definitely a must have

    by LizTheGreat (1 review)
I have been a big MAC fan for about 5-6 years now and I was introduced to prep and prime about 3 years ago. I do not have problematic skin or acne scars but I do have some discolorations and things of that nature. When I use this product it makes me feel like my skin is more "even". You can absolutely feel the ...silicone element in the product kinda wrapping your face like a breatheable glove. It helps make up look more flawless and when combined with the setting spray that MAC has you have a flawless, baby doll, matte but soft look. They have prep and prime with an spf of 55 now which is great for these summer months when you do not want to wear heavy make up. May 7, 2008, 12:41 pm

    My HG Primer!

    by electrickpulse (3 reviews)
I have tried quite a few face primers and so far, this one takes the cake. Its moisturizing, soothes redness & irritation, provides a smooth surface to apply foundation & makes my foundation last & look fresh all day. You only need one pump of product for your entire face, so one bottle of this baby lasts me mon...ths. I will say that I have very dry skin so I use a thick moisturizing cream underneath it as well. I have never broken out from using this primer, whereas with other primers I have - particularly with Smashbox PhotoFinish. If you are weary about buying the full bottle, many MAC counters/stores give out samples, so give it a shot! February 22, 2008, 8:27 am

    Smooth, silky skin!

    by makeupaddiction (3 reviews)
I must admit, having oily skin, I was very dubious about using a primer. I had actually tried several before without much success. BUT, this primer is wonderful! I applied it with my MAC 190 foundation brush and let it set for a few minutes before applying my Studio Fix foundation over it. It really made my face feel so sof...t and smooth, and my foundation applied and looked so much better on my face. My face did not look oily at all! I really like this product and highly recommend it. Also, a little goes a long way, at least for me. December 4, 2007, 12:07 pm

    Silk for Skin?

    by OldHolliwood (3 reviews)
This product is awesome! I found that it works best on freshly clean skin. I put on my eye cream first so that when this goes on over it my eye shadow and liner last longer too. It glides on smoothly and with a very light fragrance and leaves skin feeling silky. The silicone in it is what helps make-up stay on for hours, an...d the little light-reflecting particles make your skin look more radiant. You can even use it by itself and just put some blush or bronzer on if you don't like foundation. I use it EVERY day! November 12, 2007, 9:08 pm

    Great primer

    by kpkokinis (14 reviews)
I love this product. Although it feels wet when it's first applied (I dry it with the blowdryer on my face for a few seconds), when it dries it makes your skin velvety smooth without feeling like there's a layer of goo on your skin. I also apply it under my eyes to fill in any little creases. I have fair skin so I don't ...have any problem with any residue as others have stated. Everyone now comments on how perfect my skin looks and that I am glowing...thanks to this product February 5, 2008, 12:51 pm

    A bit oily

This primer is a good substitute when you don't want to shell out $40 for a Smashbox primer. It makes your makeup glide on easier, but in terms of reapplying during the day and controlling oil, Smashbox is a bit better. But still, it is a superb product and a lot better than a lot of other primers out there. And it's very r...easonably priced, so I don't oppose to it. January 20, 2008, 10:10 am

    totally flawless!

    by IceQueen611 (7 reviews)
I use MAC's Studio Fix foundation powder and without this my face pretty much comes off an hour after applying my makeup. I've tried all kinds of pimers; smashbox (clear, tinted and light), larua gellar spackle, coverFX, ETC) and this is the best thing ever. It's got little light reflecting particles that brighten skin up a...nd give powder the look of natural skin. Doesn't get greasy or oily at all during the day and it can even be used as an eyeshadow primer. I deffinately reccomend giving it a try...plus ounce for ounce it's alot less than other brands. Not for everyone....

    by ClumpsOfMascara (11 reviews)
I can't say that I enjoyed using MAC's Prep + Prime. For one, it didn't work too well with darker skin. As a NW45, it left a white cast on my face that could be seen even through my make-up. I'm also not sure if it is good with powder or cream foundations. I didn't see the difference it made when putting MAC's StudioTech on... top of it. January 30, 2008, 10:22 am

The best way to start your makeup regimen!

    by MissJessD (6 reviews)
This primer feels like air. It's perfect and keeps foundation looking fresh all day. Doesn't clog pores and has a pleasant smell. November 12, 2007, 5:02 pm
