Murad Clarifying Cleanser Reviews

Its just ok for me.
The cleanser seems to work well although it really stings when it gets in to your eyes. It made my eyes super red a few times. I used in conduction with the acne treatment, mask, and moisturizers and didn't see the results i wanted. My acne stayed about the same, if not a little worse then when i started. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Gentle salicylic acid cleanser
I started incorporating this cleanser into my skin care regime to help combat blackheads. I got it because of the salicylic acid. This contains one and a half percent of the ingredient. I was surprised at how gentle this is. It doesn't leave my combination skin tight or irritated. I use this with my Clarisonic a couple times a week. I have a more creamy cleanser that I use most days because I don't want to over do it. Even though I don't use this every day, the amount of blackheads on my nose has decreased. The mint feels refreshing but in no way stings the skin. Although this isn't going to give a super rich lather, you can still tell that it is working. Someone with an extreme case of acne may need something stronger, but for many I think this would be a nice and effective cleanser. — 9 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Decent cleanser
This cleanser has a refreshing scent, it lathers very well with warm water, and my face feels clean after washing with it. But, seriously, that's I usually can get from any other cleanser. I even purchased and used other 2 Murad Acne Complex products (the Clarifying Toner and the Skin Perfecting Lotion) since I was suggested to get them for the best results. The Murad 3-step healed my existing acne, but it did not completely prevent new breakouts. I prefer Clinique 3-step Acne Solution products since I can get more for less money. This cleanser is not a bad product, but I feel the performance does not justify the price I paid for. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Murad Cleanser
This was one of the first products I tried from Murad. In many ways, it's not very different from a lot of drug store cleansers, but the fact that this one is killing bacteria on contact and continuing to work throughout the next few hours has helped clear up my skin in a major way. I don't completely credit this product, as I also use a Clarisonic brush, but I absolutely think this product works if your skin can handle it. Mine is super sensitive and responded to this cleanser better than 50 others. For that alone, this gets high marks. Try buying this in a set with several other items, it's much more cost effective that way, plus you get other skin-clearing products with it that you'd need to purchase anyway. — 9 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Does not work!!!
I kept hearing great things about MURAD so I thought that I would try it because nothing else was working to clear up my persistent acne. I used this cleanser along with the other products in the 3-step regimen and I was very disappointed with the results. It made my acne worse, I got a lot more painful cysts along my chin and jawline. It doesn't lather up that much and for the amount of money it wasn't worth it. I would not recommend this product to anyone!!! — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

love it
This cleanser is tingly and light, and it doesn't dry out my skin. It smells great, and it really cleared up my acne when I used it with the rest of the Murad anti-acne line. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

great acne cleanser
This cleanser works great on acne prone skin. I have had less breakouts, and my skin is not as dry as it is with other acne cleansers — 5 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

works for me...but every person is different!
This cleanser leaves my skin clean and fresh; sometimes a little tight, but the moisterizer fixes that (it smells a little weird, but oh well). After reacting severely to proactiv, I tried the murad acne kit and have seen amazing results. My acne isn't completely gone, but the situation is much improved. If anyone tries the kit, I would recommend using it for at least 2 months-that's how long it has taken for it to work for me. But it's worth it! — 4 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not worth it!
I am breaking out worse. It's better than most cleansers but not as good as proactiv. I wouldn't spend this kind of money on it. — 5 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Sorry, but no...
I first tried this cleanser as a sample from Sephora and praised it, but then it's like my skin got used to it and it wasn't anything special anymore. I have acne-prone/combo skin and I try to give any new cleanser a 3 month trial unless i can't stand it. Well, don't let the menthol fool you into thinking its deep cleaning. Plus, theres oil in it. I aim for using oil-free products, hence less sebum! Too many ingredients and much too $$ for what it doesn't claim to do! Wanted to like it though...darn. The search continues... — 9 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
