Murad's Magic Balm . . .
I lamented to a friend that my lips kept chapping and peeling, no matter what I did. The situation had gotten so bad that there were tiny cuts in my lips; lipstick application just seemed to exaggerate the situation, but I never leave the house without color on my lips (I could easily pass for a ghost). I was absolutely miserable. She seemed relaxed on the phone, told me to rest easy, and not to worry. I suspected she was up to something; a few days later, an envelope arrived at our home, with a tube of Murad's "Energizing Pomegranate Lip Protector SPF 15" and a note saying, "Here's an end to your problems." I love Murad products in general, and I especially liked the pretty sheer pink color of this balm and the wonderful smell. I learned early that a little goes a long way. It is not heavy or very glossy but does leave a layer of protection on my lips in a pretty, subtle rose shade. The layer stays on for several hours, even through eating and drinking. The real beauty of this product--and the reason why my friend sent it to me--is that it doesn't need to be continually reapplied. Pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant with its own natural sunscreen. It is actually a heavy-duty treatment. Dead, peeling cells are exfoliated from lips, and new ones are brought to the surface. It's not a "Catch 22"--apply, reapply, apply, reapply. After several days of using it, I found that I didn't actually need it any longer. However, I still continue to use it because I love the smell, the feel, and the shade. Just a word of advice: Since you're applying it to your mouth, use it on a clean finger so that the product is not contaminated in any way. It's another winner from Murad! — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

MURAD ENERGIZING POMEGRANATE LIP PROTECTOR SPF 15
I got this and tried it and it was fine. My daughter has had problems with sore lips and even had cream from the doctors, which didn't resolve her problems long term. She has taken this off me now and she uses it every day and she hasn't had any more sore lips. She thinks it's great and so do I. It also has an SFP which many lip creams do not have! I love this product. Although it is rather pricey, there is a LOT of product, and no matter how much I use it, the package looks full! (I've had it for 4 months now and have been applying every day.) Although people are saying that it looks like petroleum jelly on your lips, it really doesn't. You only need to put a thin layer of this on your lips and the glossiness stays on for around 2 hours. This isn't like MAC lipglass where the gloss is incredibly shiny and shimmery. This is very sheer and after the gloss is gone, it leaves your lips very moisturized and with a pink tint! I love this Murad product to DEATH. I highly recommend it. :) You won't regret! It is more of a gloss than a balm as it is very shiny and pretty. Gives my lips a light pinkish sheen. It is not at all lasting, even for a lip gloss - that suprised me actually. The taste is great and I love the fact it has an SPF in it so this will be great for spring and summer. It is pretty tacky and sticky. It just doesn't do a whole bunch. It doesn't moisturize any better than an actual lip gloss, nor does it treat chapped lips like a lip treatment should. Your lips need to be in perfect shape in order for this to look decent on. Packaging is cute and it has an angled tip. It has a pretty sheen to it and smells nice, but is a bit sticky. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
