Not very illuminating
I used this several times while staying at my mum's house because I forgot my beloved Clinique cleanser and din't feel like going out and buying a new one when I was only going to be staying for three days. Anyways I found that this wasn't very hydrating or illuminating but that might just be because I'm only 21 and I have zero wrinkles. My skin did feel clean but thats about all this cleanser did for me. I didn't really expect much though because I've always been disapointed by the poor performance of Olay products. Mineral Oil? Ew. Not worth the $$.
Creamy, yes. Dreamy, no. This does not lather, has teensy gentle exfoliating beads, a strange strong scent. On the days I use this, I feel like there is a film leftover on my skin. Not good. I am completely turned off by the fact that this has Mineral Oil in it. No thank you. I have not broken out since using this, but my skin has not gotten any clearer or more "illuminated", either. I do like the fact that the creaminess of this doesn't make my skin feel tight, but yet again I feel like that might be because I feel a film. In my opinion, this would be great for those who have dry skin, need gentle exfoliation, no breakouts, and who are not concerned about anti-aging or anti-oxidants or visible results. GLOWING!
This product is hands down fantastic. I was hesitant to buy another face wash since most dry me out. I decided that I would just purchase a drug store brand that was inexpensive and therefore wouldn't be regrettable purchase. From the first day, this product did not disappoint. Immediate results left me wanting to buy every product in the line! Small beads exfoliate while the super creamy texture leaves my skin feeling hydrated without unwanted shine. Only a small amount is needed so I know I will have it for along time. This face wash has spoiled me. I do not want to go a day without it. Great Cleanser, but not all skin is created equal
This product I love very much, but my sister (who is much younger than I) did not like it at all. As we all know, no 2 skins are created equal and what works wonders for one, can be another's worst nightmare. This product seems to be wonderful for the 30+ age groups. I LOVE it for me, I am 42 years old and when compared with my much more expensive illuminating cleansers, it is well worth the money. I love trying new things and I also have skin that seems to respond well to all things without any sensitivity issues with anything. This is a good thing since my hobby is trying all new things, expensive and fairly cheap, on my face. More like a moisturizer than a cleanser
I agree with Leelu. This is supposed to be good for dry skin, but maybe my skin is not dry enough for it? ? It smells nice, though a bit strong, but it doesn't cleanse or rinse well at all!! It seems to leave a "film" of some kind on my face, which is not "illuminating", and I've had minor breakouts from what I'm sure is the mineral oil in it. It left my skin soft, but it's not for me. I still had to wash my face again with another cleanser. I only tried it because it was "recommended" to me from the company's skin care routine for dry skin. I didn't pay attention to this at the time, but now I've really gotten into analyzing ingredients on products. The main ingredients are not even CLEANSING agents, but moisturizing ones like petrolatum and mineral oil!! It's not a terrible product exactly, but I won't get it again because I prefer cleansers that remove makeup as well as grime, without any residue left. This might work for you if you wear little or no make-up, are NOT prone to breakouts, and also have VERY dry skin. It should be marketed as a "rinse-off moisturizer" you can use after a "real" cleanser. Olay Definity Illuminating Cream cleanser
I keep this item in my shower and use it every morning. It opens with just a twist and the amount I want to use is easy to squeeze out. My face feels very clean and hydrated afterwards. Olay Definity is a Definite YES
I absolutely LOVE this illuminating cream facial cleanser! I love when a product actually does what it says it claims to do on the ads and label! THIS DOES! It didn't irritate my super sensitive skin. It didn't make it sting or get red. Almost all exfoliants do so this extremely gentle yet still effective. My complexion is obviously smoother, more even, soft and makes me feel like I am glowing! Like The Effects...
But not the feel. BUt that is a personal thing. Creamy cleansers give me a feeling of cleaning my face with slime..and for me this is no different. But I must say, the consistent use yield wonderful results later.
