um...
Bon_Bon (454 reviews)Not enough words for awful, not only did I not get any where close to the color I wanted, i didn't even get color I got brass. It's terrible, and I wouldn't trust this on my dog. I thought hair dye was suppose to dye hair?? Not destroy it and make you want to scream. Awful color, awful application, awful product. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 6 people said helpful

Amazingly easy to use
teshie (396 reviews)I used this product for the first time two weeks ago (in Cherry Cordial) and I was happier with the results than I've ever been with a hair dye, and I'm including trips to the salon. At first I was nervous because the base coat was darker than what I wanted, but after I added the highlights the color looked just as it did on the box, and it's stayed bright--not easy for red hair dye. I'm terrible with hair, and was sure I was messing up the highlights as I went along, making them too thick and skunky and screwing up the back, but, like I said, I was very pleased with the results. I will definitely be purchasing this product again. Tip: Big Lots often sells this product for $6.50, and they have a pretty decent selection. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 6 people said helpful

Caramel Glaze
SubCulture (228 reviews)This is supposed to be medium brown but it's a dark brown with subtle reddish or bronze tint, depending on the lighting. Great base color if you like dark hair but not harsh black. Usually dark brown hair dye has too much red tones and it's not dark enough. The base color is just perfect. As for the highlights it did not turn out blondish as shown on the box. More like auburn but I didn't use it on virgin hair; my hair had been dyed with permanent and semi-permanent for several months so that may have affected the turn out. I would definitely buy this again just for the base color. There was more than enough dye for my long straight hair, 1/3rd down my back. Definitely test out the color first on a small section to see the results before coloring your whole head of hair, especially the highlights, to avoid unfavorable outcomes. — 8 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Ehhhh!
ruthiejane (18 reviews)I used this product years ago because I wanted highlights in my hair but didn't want to pay big bucks at a salon for them. I used a different color than shown on this box, it was a medioum brown I think...but the entire system isn't easy to work with ...at least not for me...wouldnt buy this again — 5 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Never Home colored and my stylist is awesme, BUT not this awesome!
erica_pearl_molacek (1 reviews)I have curly hair that darker brown, with grey temple at 37 yrs old...It's Thick and Hard to take color, long to keep it. This product was my real second, but really first attempt at home to save some $ and get MY result!. My first was really well received (herbal essence in 6B auburn) but too dark for what I wanted (essentially what my stylist did for 5 years too!) I went back to CVS, bought this, reapplied instantly and was very very happy that it worked on the darker color red I had just applied! highlights took, scalp was not stinging. so far, so fantastic! 0 — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Like it, but . . .
dorafisher1 (7 reviews)I find the blonde shades run a little darker than the picture. I also have found using my fingers applied the highlights better than any of the tools provided. All-in-all, the color and highlights are as good as I was getting in a salon at about 1/10 the price. However, I have had some breakage which I attribute to maybe the harshness of the bleach in the high lighting formula. I recommend this product, but condition regularly. — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Love, love, love
laureljm (6 reviews)I'm in love with this color. I've used it for years, and lately I've alternated every other application with John Freida foam color just because of the huge time commitment this color takes. The John Freida color blends well (I use a level 9) and takes so much less time, so I use it every other application. But this stuff is great -- color and great highlights in one box for a teeny fraction of the price of a salon visit. Sure it smells bad, but what blonde color doesn't? It's dumb to complain about hair color smelling bad. I will say though, you have to master how to do your own highlights, and if you don't pay attention you'll could really butcher them. To make them even, I use the mascara wand, not the weird fingertip applicator they've been putting in lately. Color lasts forever, and the highlights even show through the next time when I use the John Freida color. I take off one star b/c they could really have a wider selection of colors. — 9 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

It doesn't last as long as I like and will definately lighten fast if you get in the sun.. Would love to see this product continue. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

L'oreal Couleur Experte
redrobin55 (1 reviews)I USED to use this brand when they sold it in the blonde shade 9.0 ( light blonde) but they no longer put this color out. I e-mailed them why this color was not sold anymore and they replied they had no idea what brand I was talking about! Come on they had that color for quite awhile. Anyway when I used that color along with the highlights that came with it my hair looked liked I had it done in a salon. I have never been happy with any other brand or color combo.I still buy loreal # 9 1/2 but I have no idea what highlights to put on. They could just come back with the color I liked so much so I would get a great look!! Everyone doesn't want to be brown or darker colors and the blond they sell is about 8.2 My rating for the 9.0 is 10 but I can't rate a color they no longer put out. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Works for me, but might not for everyone...
rirby06 (12 reviews)I used the Chocolate Cherry Mousse one a few times. The color is not a natural looking color. It's more of a dark reddish purple, but it looked awesome on me so no worries here ^^ Dont get that color if you want a natural looking result tho. It made my hair feel a little dry afterwards. Be sure to leave the conditioner in for the whole time recommended and rinse really really good if you have thick hair, like me! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
