Most plumping lip glosses don't truly enlarge lips. If they did, celebs wouldn't flock to plastic surgeons for filler injections. This stick-free, ultra-shiny gloss does give a cooling effect that makes you feel like something's happening (it does contain a ceramide that helps boost natural collagen production), but it's not so spicy or tingly that you feel bee-stung. The biggest complaint is about the packaging, which is larger than normal but doesn't actually contain more product -- very deceiving.

I bought this product several months ago but just began using the product two days ago. I'd been ill and hadn't been feeling much like wearign makeup. However, I felt better the other day, found and wore the new bare minerals colors and this lip gloss. Absolutely wonderful. I'd tried the Lip Plumper at $75-150 ea. and it wasn't near as good as this one. It lasts a long time and feels refreshing. I recommend it to all as well as a new hair product and body products called Ojon. You must protect the largest organ on your body and that is your skin. April 22, 2008, 8:44 am

I LOVE my Dolly Buxom Lips, and I've tried tons and tons of lip glosses. I don't usually go for lip plumpers since I already have big lips, but I tried Dolly on at a Bare Escentuals boutique and was instantly in love with the scent, tingling feeling, and color! Dolly is a beautiful, natural color, and it stays on really well. You won't find this slipping off your lips after only half an hour! Stays on for hours and hours. Bare Escentuals Buxom Lip Polish is my favorite lip gloss of all time. It provides pretty much everything that us girls are looking for. On me, it does plump my lips and make them look "healthier". It's not a drastic look though. Your lips will appear fuller, but not like you spent the afternoon in a plastic surgeon's office. Buxom is also longwearing. I love putting it on before I go to bed. I wake up in the morning sans dryness on my lips. I will 100% wake up with Sahara Desert dry lips if I do not use this before bed. Most (not all) of the Buxom colors are shimmery, but they're very tasteful. They're not too "young" looking, if you know what I mean. These colors can be on the sheer side, but if you take that into account you can always figure out which is the color that best meets your needs. The minty scent and taste also refreshens breath! I am very choosy when buying lip gloss. They all advertise how wonderful they are, then when you get home and try them you are usually disappointed. I first saw this product on HSN and the colors looked so wonderful on the girls wearing it. But then again, they make everything look wodnerful on HSN. It was a set of 4 lip glosses with can be purchased at Sephora for under $30. I can't tell you how great this stuff feels on my lips. It is the only lip gloss I put on at home when I am NOT going out! That is how much I love it. It gives your lips this cool and refreshing feeling like nothing I have ever felt or used before. The color stays on a decent amount of time as long as you aren't drinking anything or kissing anyone. The colors were great too, I love all of them. I can't say enough great things about this lip gloss. But it, you will be so glad you did! February 3, 2008, 1:36 am

kinda pricey for a lipgloss..and the thing which turned me off was the extra large bottle which gives the impression that it has alot of product in it...which isn't true!! and the bottle is so big..not convenient to put it in my small purses..
anyways..the product itself has a nice look to it..i mean..i have the color bambi..and i love it...but it doesn't last long..:(
but yaah...the shine is nice..and the gloss isn't sticky..BUT..i don't think it plumps my lips as such..just gives a tingle..a minty tingle to be honest.. December 6, 2007, 10:36 pm

I wasn't much for lip plumpers because I was afraid that I'd have that "collagen injected lip" look. Then, one day I walked into Sephora & saw Krystal on display. I tried it on & when I looked in the mirror, my lips were slightly fuller. I knew it was working because of the tingle. When the Buxom Babes mini 4 pack came out, I knew I had to buy it. I love the scent & the shades. So far, this is all that I've used on my lips when it comes to putting on my makeup. The only problem is that it doesn't stay on long enough. I am skepical of those plumping type glosses since they usually sting the wazoo out of my lips, but this one is NOTHING like that. When I put it on, I first noticed the divine vanilla-caramelish scent it had. Great coverage. Not too sheer, but not thick and overly pigmented. The plumping action had a cooling feel to it and didn't sting one bit! It looked great on!! I used Amber and it looked just great. Loved it so much, I ordered the Buxom Lips set so I could have more shades. Finally!!! A plumper than works for me!!! December 2, 2007, 9:51 pm

Bare Escentuals has been my makeup choice for the past few years. I really do love the natural look of the mineral foundation. I was at the store last week and came across one of their newer products. Buxom Lips. I noticed the cute packaging right away...burlesque-ish dancers on the front. Available in 6 colors, all slightly sheer, I decided on Brandi, a reddish brown with gold flecks. Mineral and vitamin infused, the lip gloss is supposed to give you soft supple lips and, as the packaging states, "80% of women experienced an immediate increase in lip fullness." Now, I don't know if my lips appeared any fuller (to be honest, I am quite happy with my lip size!), but I can tell you that I do love this product for a few things: I love the mild vanilla-ish scent, I love the beautiful color (goes with everything!), I love the big tube it comes in (will last forever) and most importantly, I love the tingly effect it left on my lips. I have tried other lip plumpers, and the tingly effect lasts all of 10 minutes. This actually lasted several hours! I was really impressed! I got this with the classic rock gift set wich also comes with shadows, blush and shimmer powder. I love, love, love the gloss, mine is crystal with "diamond" particles, but it makes my lips feel pouty and minty, and you can change the color with different lipliners. My only gripe is that it sticks to my teeth a little bit, nonetheless I'm planning on getting a few more juicy colors. May 2, 2008, 4:38 pm

I Love this lip gloss. It makes your lips look super shiny while also plumping your lips. For best result apply on lips and let it set until you feel a tingle then you can push your lips together to get it evenly applied on your lips. Only downside it tingles all the time and it you kiss your significant other it'll make his lips tingly too although I find that to enjoyable. :) May 1, 2008, 5:39 pm
