  • You seem to think it does. On our homepage poll, 92 percent of you said you think diet affects your beauty. I'm inclined to agree but I have to admit I don't really do much for this beyond drinking lots of water and limiting my caffeine intake. What do you eat or not eat to have gorgeous skin? Are there any foods that you swear cause your breakouts (even though many doctors say that's a myth)? Or do you have a diet regimen that gets skin glowing? Please share!

  • I recently reviewed Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Curl Creme and absolutely loved it. Usually I go for a straight or wavy look (my hair is naturally wavy in parts and straight in others -- it can't seem to make up its mind) but when I want to go curly, I reach for this. If you want defined curls, check it out. For more product recommendations for curly hair, see this article.

  • Ever since a bad experience with the Proactiv system in high school (it was too drying for my skin), I've been mixing and matching skincare products from different brands. It's turned into an always evolving regimen that varies depending on how my skin is behaving at any certain time. It also means I have far too many products cluttering my medicine cabinet.

  • I don't know about you, but if my toothbrush and razor had feelings, they'd probably feel out of place in my bathroom. My razor hangs vulnerably from the shower caddy, waiting to fall at any second. And my toothbrush's fancy sink-top holder grows rather unsightly at times (even with regular cleaning).

  • Flipper, a company devoted to holding razors and toothbrushes in style, has presented a solution. Their Web site, despite inducing paranoia about dirty countertops and dark, damp cabinets (eek!), sells a number of super-cute, ventilated plastic holders equipped with suction cups so you can stick 'em on the shower door. (The animal collections are great for getting kids to pay more attention to their toothbrushes!)

  • Looking for a little red carpet treatment? Well, the Carol's Daughter store in the Westfield Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, Calif., is hosting a special appearance by celebrity stylist Tiffany Daugherty. (She works with Disney Channel's The Cheetah Girls.)

  • I wanted to share a review I just wrote about Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel. We recently did a round up of some of our team’s top rated bronzers, and I was in the middle of testing this one -- part of Chanel’s gorgeous (as usual!) summer collection. Check it out and share your reviews on bronzers you’ve tried lately with me. Happy bronzing!

  • This weekend I was able to experience a Dermalogica Microzone Treatment and Face Mapping session as part of their "Know Your Zones Tour." Kristen mentioned in her earlier blog that Dermalogica is traveling around with their skincare Airstream trailer (which is totally sleek and what I'd go camping in if I were the camping type) giving people detailed information about their skin type and recommending products. (See her blog below for upcoming dates and locations.) Associate editor Charli snapped a shot of me above sitting in the trailer while my friend Kellie gets her treatment -- and made me post it.

  • How is this possible? Not with the sun's rays, that's for sure. Jergens -- makers of the well-known Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer -- is joining stars like Kristen Bell ("Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and TV's "Veronica Mars") and The Skin Cancer Foundation in supporting the "Glow in the Dark" campaign to encourage women to stay out of the sun (and the tanning booth).
