Without optimal oxygen, skin cells can't renew themselves. "It accelerates the wrinkling process by damaging the skin and impeding the repair of your skin," adds Bank. So in addition to the obvious vertical lines and wrinkles around the mouth, your skin overall will look lackluster and dull.

Dermatologists do not, as a general rule, give a person a complete once over...even if he/she is asked. I know people mean well by saying, "Go to the dermatologist," but rarely do we actually see one...we see a doctor's assistant these days. They will usually only address one issue at a time. Prevention is the best, and have a family member look you over monthly in addition.

How true! I have the vertical lines around my mouth from sucking on these things for years. I quit smoking two months ago today (yay!) but the damage to my skin (

It is all very important. Eatin well helps too. Hydration, I believe, is a good advice also.
