Why it's controversial: Readers had varied results with this. Some say it gave them "length and volume like never before," but others claim, "I have to use several coats just to get some kind of noticeable result." While some say it "flakes off" and is "gloopy and messy," others "haven't had any problems with smudging or flaking." There were also mixed results with removal. Some readers "had no problem" and others found it to be "quite difficult" to remove.

The Chanel Precision Sublimage Cream is amazing, and if you use it properly, It lasts a very long time. Definitely worth it!

I don't like Maybelline's Great Lash mascara neither do my sister or best friend. I guess to each their own. I just don't understand how it always gets rated as a best mascara to own.

I bought the Maybelline mascara in the past... I didn't care for it at all! It makes my lashes clump together and I look like I have spider legs on my eyes... Not a huge fan of the micro-mist tanner either. The color is a bit off on my light skin and it is hard to get even coverage with a mist like that.

I think most of the products listed here work better for some skin types and not so good for others. Everyone's body chemistry is different, so every person will have a different opinion.

Bare Minerals made me break out. Didn't realize it until my doctor said to stop using it. I changed to Jane Iredale and my face totally cleared. Three years of buying Bare Minerals.... ouch. Never again.

I am a beauty product junkie, and will buy/try just about anything... but $375 for a moisturizer?!? $375!!??!! That will pay my cell phone bill, car insurance, and still leave me enough left over to have a "mini-spree" at Sephora!

Very interesting - I've used Great Lash and Bare Minerals. Great Lash is okay - it isn't terribly volumizing, and gives me a little bit of length, but I found it was good as a sort of enhancer, darkens my lashes and separates for a nice everyday look. Unfortunately it seemed to irritate my eyes and didn't last as long as I wanted it to, so I never bought it again. Bare Minerals was okay - I prefer the Matte formula because the regular formula made my face itchy. My sister had the same experience. She still uses it everyday, I tend to prefer a tinted moisturizer for everyday. So while it's no holy grail for me, it's not bad.

Bare minerals is controversial because it contains bismuth oxychloride. This chemical is what gives the make up that pearly "sheen". It can have some nasty side effects such as acne & burns if you are allergic to it. Oh, and Great Lash is controversial because it sucks and people just like it still because it is "old skool"! lol

This is one of the worst mascaras ever! It makes my lashes hard and makes them look like I only have like five lashes.

It leaves my skin soft, and it give nice hint of color to my fair skin....only thing I don't like is the smell, its a turn off but is not as strong as other products.
