Acne

There’s no beating around the bush -- breakouts aren’t sexy. Unless the lights are off, a big, red blemish can cool the mood fast. Instead of putting your energy toward applying foundation, focus it on clearing up your skin. Men would trade in a made-up face for a flawless complexion any day of the week. To prevent zits, always wash your face before bed. To further avoid pores from clogging, slough away dead cells with an exfoliator two times a week. If a stubborn pimple persists, dab it with a drying potion containing acne-fighting ingredients such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide (try Kate Somerville Anti Bac Clearing Lotion, $39). I really wasn't TOO offended by this article... I have been trying to get rid of my acne and dark circles... but when they mentioned big nose I almost started to cry, because I have a big nose that I've always hated, and contouring really dosn't make it look smaller at all :,\

Too bad I have a few of these, including the big nose. It makes me mad when people mention my big nose, and it makes me want to keep it even more, to prove that I love myself just the way I am, that i'm confident, and i'm slowly learning to love my face. I don't think I should have to hide my big nose under makeup (I do however use makeup to cover acne marks, but the nose makeup idea is just outrageous) just for some guy who should like me just the way I am, and other women should be the same.

I did not like reading this article. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one...

Wow, if I dated a guy that was this superficial, he'd outta there real quick...

This makes it seem like we're all at the man's mercy and we have to try to be as desirable as possible to get him to like us. Kinda seems like an article you would read in 1950, not 2011.

I think the person that wrote this article should be fired.
