Say yes to yogurt We know, you think dairy is bad for blemishes. And, certain types (overly-processed varieties, for example) can be. But yogurt that packs probiotics (Greek, Kefir) actually helps to prevent bad bacteria -- which can lead to acne -- from forming in your body. So, you may want to include one or two servings a day. Try a morning smoothie with antioxidant-rich blueberries and yogurt, plus a potassium-packed banana. Or try a strawberry granola parfait with a drizzle of honey for a post-dinner treat, yum.
Honestly, I've discovered the best way to get rid of acne is tanning. It works for face and body acne. I know it has bad effects, but there are benefits as well.
i do eat a lot of grain because i'm an athlete the occasional granola bar or chewy bar really help fill up my appetite but now that i see this its opened up my eyes.
Drinking 8 glasses of water a day is a total lie, it doesn\'t help you out at all since if you drink too much at a time it flushes out nutrients along with bad stuff in your body
I really need to change my diet and see if it helps. I will do anything to get my acne under control and stop feeling like a teenage in highschool when I'm 36!
I think everything is do-able except the oysters. It's a texture thing for me...I can't bring myself to even try them! And I love spicy food.. :(
so sad.
Beautiful from inside out :) The concept of Zero Pollution in our body. I eat healthy and if I ever eat or drink something that is not so healthy my body gives me a sign immediately.
I have found other than water, good skincare, change your cotton pillowcase often, hair up when you sleep and stop touching your face are your best bets.
Luckily I was never crazy about spicy food because I can't handle much. Only a dab of medium sauce on ever spoonful was my limit. I still had acne but it was very mild. Shame I'm allergic to shellfish though.
I didn't know spicy food could exacerbate acne! I love spicy food and it doesn't seem to affect my skin at all, nor does any food. The cleansers I use, how stressed I am, and my foundation seem to have the most effect on my skin.
I also had no idea that spicy foods could exacerbate acne... And this article had very good tips about how to incorporate more veggies into your diet.
And to CliniqueLover below, it's a very GOOD thing to pee all the time because you drink lots of water! That is the point. :)
I like this article. I had no idea that chili peppers weren't that great for acne. I LOVE hot food and have a habit of putting crushed red pepper or actual red peppers in almost everything...great article. there are somethings I didn't know...
