Photo Finish
This is a good primer. They finally got smart and changed the packaging. No more goofy pump that did not work. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

I like it
I like it becuase it does feel good on my skin but, I can't really say that it made my make up last longer becuse I haven't really been using it consistantly & I really dont' think its worth $42 for this little bottle. Fortunatly I got it as a free sample and someone gave me a gift card so I got another one, once those run out, I guess I'll have to do without it... — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 6 people said helpful

Smooth consisitancy.
I hardly feel this product go on my face. It doesn't cause breakouts and it has no scent to it. Primer is one of the accessories make ups b/c you really don't need it but sometimes it helps. I would not buy this again b/c I prefer something natural. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 5 people said helpful

I LOVE this product
The improved version of the standard photo finish is amazing. It fills in your pores and fine lines, it evens out your skin for a flawless canvass to apply your makeup. I think my only complaint would be that after so many hours you will start to get a shine in your pictures, but other than that, it's a great product. I think it helps you achieve the amazing skin that you've always wanted so to me, it's well worth the money. — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

don't know what's special
I bought a trial size tube of this. I really didn't notice much difference between this formula and the regular primer. It's good stuff, but I didn't think it was anything special. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Surprised!
Beauty Product Review: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer with Dermaxyl Complex ($42 Sephora). Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 15 With Dermaxyl Complex Smashbox's cult favorite foundation primer has been infused with Dermaxyl, which has been proven in clinical trials to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, plus an SPF 15 sunscreen to protect the skin. This advanced formulation allows you to treat, protect, and instantly smooth the skin - priming it for the day. Reviewed by Jamie and Beckie. Are they on the same page? Beckie: I have tried many primers, as evidenced by A Primer on Primers, and was not a fan of Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer as of the writing of that article, but with the addtion of sunscreen, anti-aging ingredients, and bearing the Allure Editor's Choice Award, it's worth a return visit. Jamie: I have never tried a primer before, so this should be an interesting experiment. Beckie: I'm aware I should use a primer for the staying power, but in the summer heat, less is more, which is why I was surprised with how much I liked this primer. Jamie: Smashbox Photo Finish has an apricot color but dries clear. I thought it was going to feel sticky, but my face felt smooth. Beckie: I applied the product only to my areas that needed "spackling" -- around my eyes and in the parentheses. I applied my tinted moisturizer with a makeup brush, which aids in keeping the foundation on top of my skin. As I said before, I was surprised with how much I liked Smashbox Photo Finish. I think the key for me was applying it with a makeup brush and only to the "crinkles" and crevices. Jamie: After many hours, I did notice that the foundation was still adhering to the primer. Hmm, I am surprised, too. Beckie: With the added benefit of sunscreen, I will use this more often. This review does not include an analysis of the anti-aging Dermaxyl complex. With any anti-aging product, to receive the most benefit, you would have to use it on a daily basis. Until summer is a memory, I will use Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer sparingly, as my makeup melts faster than an ice-cream cone in 90 degree heat. Jamie: I'm with Mom on that one. The weather is a factor in what product I use, and I tend to use much less in the summer. — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Best primer ever
I tried Lancome, Estee Lauder, Hourglass, Clinique, Dior, Urban Decay, Laura Mercier but always went back to where I start. I love it, it gives a nice finish to my dry combination skin, has some anti-aging benefits(a.k.a.Spf 15). I have very sensitive skin and this primer hasnot been causing any problems so far. — 6 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Great Face Primer
I've been using this primer for about a year now, and it has made such a difference in the way my makeup wears and feels. My skin is VERY oily and prone to breakouts, but this primer has kept my skin clear, helped to control the oil without causing my skin to feel stiff. I've tried many primers that give that "face mask" stiffness, and I can't stand it. This really keeps my face powder and blush in place all day. I recommend if your skin is oily and prone to break outs. I also love the SPF! — 5 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Pretty Good
Overall it is pretty good. Sometimes I think it gets a little flakey. In order to prevent that I use a thin layer or mix is with my foundation. — 7 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Smashbox Photofinish
Love this product; Works well in filling in those fine lines so your foundation or tinted moisturizer does not fall into the cracks and make them look like deep wrinkles. I find when people use it who are prone to congested skin that it actually helps control the break outs. Like it better in the new package since the pump did not always work especially when getting to the bottom of the product. I believe it is worth the few dollars more. Check out the Smashbox website since they run specials quit often and you can get this product discounted, or a free product with it!! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
