Clinique Kohl Shaper For Eyes

Certain aspects of this liner are great -- the creamy, rich colors glide on smoothly; the ergonomic shape makes the pencil easy to hold; and there's a sharpener built into the cap (love!). But more importantly, it's among the worst performing liners we've tested in terms of running and smudging. When it isn't set with powder, the liner runs within minutes. Set with powder and you might get an hour before needing a touch-up.

    Eye pencil

    For the price that they cost, they should work much better. Both of the ones that I bought seem to smooth or break off and need sharpening all the time. They need to make it less soft. It does go on easy..but usually smooshes and seems to disappear to quickly, at least on me. Might be better off trying a different brand...     My HG of pencil eyeliners!

    There are many things to love about this liner. It is easy to apply without tugging, works well for a simple "smoky eye" when used with a smudger, comes in an unique array of colors, and has a built-in sharpener on the cap. It may not be the best if you're looking for a super long lasting or unsmudgeable eyeliner, but as a "kohl" liner, it is probably not meant to have those characteristics.     Not the Best in the Bunch

    I normally trust Clinique as a brand quite a bit, but this was a dissapointment. It looks okay when you put it on, but but it looses its look quickly. Because of all these reapplications the pencil itself doesn't last long at all. I was almost 3/4 of the way through it in two weeks. With the countless options for eyeliner, ...     Wow!

    This is a great eyeliner, very creamy and easy to apply. Unlike many eyeliners, there was no tugging or skipping during application. I have it in black honey, which is an amazing color that really brings out green eyes. I would recommend this to anyone. April 24, 2008, 8:09 pm

    Too Soft

    I was actually very disppointed in this product (even though I LOVE Clinique's makeup)... the crayon is just too soft, and I ended up sharpening more of it off than actually applying it to my eyes. February 21, 2008, 11:05 am

    turned out

    so i got this in a bonus, again it really stinks as a really nice eye liner but i was desperate for color on my lids and i filled in my lid with the pencil and blended it in and voila the most complements i ever got from eye make-up. wasn't what i thought it would be but turned out good anyway.     Great idea, but not the greatest liner

    I love the concept of the attached liner and I LOVE the color named Denim, but the editors are totally right about this liner. It doesn't stay on for more than 30 minutes without smudging. If they made the formula a little more smudge proof, I'd own every color. December 11, 2007, 10:19 am

    ok for day

    This liner is OK if you're wearing it during the day and can look in the mirror to make sure it's not under your eyes (doesn't stay put), but I absolutely can't wear it when I go out bc I end up with raccoon eyes. November 16, 2007, 2:07 pm

    this is a really good one at a great price

    I know i said I loved the chanel eyeliner, but THIS one is half the price and has beautiful colors, like a great smokey color and one called denim something. They go on well and stay on well. would buy them in every color and plan to. August 6, 2008, 7:34 pm
