I also thought this product was too pricey. I really the color that i purchased and when it actually works it looks great. There are couple of things wrong with this product. first color does not last long at all and i don't think the lip balm helps at all with the dryness of your lips because of the stain. Once i applied the lip stain there were clumps of the applicator itself on my lips and of ...read morecourse tryhing to take it off would remove the color. I also did not know which way to use it, i don't wear lipstick and for someone who isn't familiar, I had know way of knowing of whether i should use the tip or the sides of the applicator for the lip stain. I love this stuff.
I bought this in "Gothic" a few months back. I wear this stuff every single day. I wear it on it's own, or as a base for another color. It goes on smoothly and for me, lasts a long time. It's still on my lips when I wake up after a night out. It doesn't dry out my lips as much as others, and the balm is pretty awesome, although I don't actually pair it with the stain. (darker color on those areas that are peeling because my lips were a bit cracked that time) and also it bleeds on to my lips lines so i looked like i had a laceration on my lips. so i did not like it at first. but i thought of a way to make the application nice. so i exfoliated my lips using my toothbrush, applied caramex everynight and to my surprise, my lips were oh so smooth! that was the time i decided to put the lipstain again. so when my lips were smooth and free of cracks, i was very pleased with the results! the lipstain came off smooth in my lips leaving no bleed in between my lips and the color was now even. also, i should say the lasting power is great for me. i think it will last about 4-5 hours well of course with minimal food or drinks in your mouth. but in average activity, i think it will stay for about 2-3 hours. what i did not like about it is that when you are not careful in removing the cap of the balm, you might chap it of ( which what happened to my aunt's lipstain). so i suggest that before using this product or any other lipstains, make sure that you exfoliate first you lips so that the color will be even to put onThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

awesome color
i got this in frenzy and i must say it was the perfect color with a good enough staying power ( about 5 hours). Although the stain by itself was pretty drying, the balm did a good job of moisturizing my lips over the stain. The balm broke off a week later, in spite of my best efforts and within two weeks i had to shake the pen really hard to get any color through the tip. I honestly admit that I fell for the marketing on this product. I loved the color it gave Jessica Biel's lips in the pictures. I bought the same exact shade but I hate this product. First, the felt-like tip dries super fast. I have to keep pressing down rather hard to get any color to deposit on my lips. Second, the color is washed-out and fades rapidly. The color just isn't strong enough at...read more all to look like a lip stain. It looks like I just applied some cherry chapstick on my lips or something. The color fades within 30 minutes and leaves marks on my mugs/drinking glasses/forks/napkins. Third, this is super drying! It dries the heck out of my lips. After about an hour my lips start to peel and I get those weird colored-flecks on my lips. Not attractive at all. Fourth, I know the lip balm it comes with is supposed to combat the dryness. I love the smell, texture and moisturizing properties of the lip balm but it is so small. I like it, but it still sucks...
I LOVE the packaging!!! It's pretty and simple. The lip balm fell out after a while. At first the color looks gorgeous, but after a couple hours it fades or gets blotchy. I ike applicator, it;s like i'm drawing on my lips and color is very very nice, but it doesn't last long.
