Olay Regenerist Intensive Repair Treatment Reviews

Don't Waste Your Money
I was asked to test this for 2 months. I tried this for 2 months and saw absolutely NO CHANGE in my skin. This is the worst product I have ever used, and this is why I stay away from Olay. They do not work for me! — 7 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 13 people said helpful

Oil of a Let Down
I was thrilled when I got the chance to test and review this product. I wanted to give it a chance to work before I rated it, so I applied it every evening on freshly washed skin before bed. I noticed that the consistency of the cream was not as rich as I like my evening skincare products to be--this felt watery and thin, rather than as creamy as I expected and preferred. I have very sensitive skin that prefers gentle products. I have to be very careful with what I put on my face. While this product did not irritate, it also did not improve or change my skin in any way. I have some dark spots and a bit of sun damage, and this cream made no impact on that whatsoever. I was glad that this didn't harm my skin, but it bothered me that I did not see any positive change over the course of the 8 weeks that I used it for. Considering the price and the lack of effect, I would not recommend this product. I think it is a waste of money, and a disappointment. — 7 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Decent scent, relatively effective
For this Olay Regenerist Repair Treatment, the directions state to apply it daily, morning or evening, to cleansed skin in the aging-prone zone of my face and to follow with my usual facial moisturizer. I used it right after I shower, applied toner, and then the Olay intensive repair treatment in areas like my forehead, cheek, nose bridge, chin, and neck. The tube of the product is a little underwhelming, and the product squeezes out of this thin tube, almost like a glue, paint, or paste tube design that doesn’t really even make it seem like a makeup product. I’d wish it had the silver tube top that a lot of other companies have. The tube itself also looks like it’s made out of cheap plastic, so that’s not all too attractive. The scent of this intensive repair treatment is one that’s almost neutral, so it has a very light scent that’s I’m okay with. It doesn’t bother me but I’m not particularly in love with the smell either. The next thing is product application, so its very thing line squeezes out and when that’s spread, it’s almost like a light cream. On my forehead, I don’t feel much, but the other day, it really stung my checks. Almost to the point that I felt like it was a light burning sensation that did not feel pleasant at all. It’s also hard to tell if the results of wrinkles reduction were all too noticeable, my skin does feel glowing and look relatively beautiful. Before saying no to completely trying this product, I think it’s worth giving this a try yourself and see if you see any results. Since I like to start my reviews at 10 stars and then take off stars for each point that I don’t like, I think this product is around a six and a half, rounded up to 7. — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 4 people said helpful

Awful
It was terrible, I'm not allergic nor sensitive to products but this was awful. Not only did it make me break out terribly but it made my eyes swell up as well! I only have food allergies and I felt as if I had just consumed a can of mixed nuts and then rubbed them all over my eyes! And no... I didn't put this product on my eyes. I don't know what went wrong with me but I have to warn people if you have any sensitivity at all please don't use this!!! — 7 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

not impressed
after trying this for SEVERAL weeks, i did not see a positive difference in my skin. my fine lines are still under my eyes. in fact, the same week i first tried this product, my skin broke out. the formula of this cream is very thick and sometimes hard to spread. is it moisturizing? it's hard to say. i did not feel long lasting moisturization. the product claims to remove wrinkles, but i did not see this happen for myself. i wouldn't purchase this. — 6 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Would Not Buy
Like several others, I was sent this to review. I was excited to try it because I recently started using a retinol treatment at night to fight wrinkles and such. I am currently using a treatment from Dr. Perricone. I used this in lieu of the Dr. Perricone for two months as I was instructed to. The treatment was easy to apply and sank into my skin nicely. I like the packaging of this as well. It was easy to dispense just what I wanted from the tube. I would typically follow this up with my regular nighttime moisturizer. I doubt that this has done much for my skin. Although it could be (and I hope it is!) preventing future wrinkles from forming, it didn't do anything to reverse existing damage on my face. I don't expect miracles, but this product's performance did not match its claims. From what I can tell, this is a weaker form of retinol than what is in Dr. Perricone's treatment. Granted, this is much less expensive than that product, but perhaps you get what you pay for? I was happy to test this, but I would not buy this to use regularly as a nightly anti-aging treatment. — 6 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Some improvement in overall tone
In the interest of full disclosure, I received this product to test and I am only in my mid-20s with few signs of aging. The only aging I have noticed is around my mouth and I don't think that two months of nightly use of this product has made a difference for the few lines I have there. That being said, I have noticed a bit of improvement for my skin overall. The tone seems more even and my pores are smaller. Additionally, I have sensitive skin but had no reaction to this product other than some mild dryness that dissipated within days (although I kept using this nightly, so it seems my skin just needed to adjust). If you're hoping for real anti-aging benefits, you probably need to look elsewhere. — 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Total Miss by Olay
I have been trying this product for several weeks because I really wanted to give it a chance. However I must start off by saying that my skin is very sensitive and if using the wrong products can cause acne breakouts which usually always turn into acne scars. The product itself is very moisturizing and smells really good. Initially I started using this product in my daily routine and added my moisturizer as it suggested. I really didn’t notice any positive difference in my skin as far as decreasing the appearance of wrinkles even in the slightest amount. I started to experience oilier skin across my foreheads which lead to breakouts and then some scarring. I wasn’t sure if it were maybe the combination of both the Olay product and my regular moisturizer so after about a week or 2 of trying it one way I switched the way I used it. Instead of adding my moisturizer after use as the instructions suggested I just used the Olay product by itself at night as my main moisturizer. Again my skin wasn’t happy with this route either. Eventually I grew tired of having so many breakouts across my forehead mostly that I discontinued the use of the product just to see if that was the reason my skin was in horrible shape. 5 days after I discontinued use my skin began to clear up. Unfortunately for my face some of the scars the product was responsible for will take time to get rid of or diminish. I would not suggest this product to a friend. If you have acne prone skin this may cause some irritation and acne breakouts. Other than being a bit moisturizing and smelling good I do not see any benefits to this product. It eventually ended up in the trash. — 6 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

No immediate changes
I've been trying this product for a few months every night, and although I did not see any changes to my fine lines and wrinkles (i have minimal since I am still fairly young) I did like that it moisturized and soften my skin. I do not think that within the few months that I've tried it that it did what it claims to offer, but I would like to continue to use this product as a preventative measure for future wrinkles. I have somewhat sensitive skin and this did not break me out or cause any rash, which is awesome! The texture is not like any other wrinkle cream, which normally would be sort of thick, but this product was a bit liquidy (I guess it depends on preference but I prefer thicker creams). Overall I did like how it made my skin feel soft and moisturized, and I will continue to use it to see if I can see any changes down the line but also to prevent any further fine lines. I give it a 5 because I do like the product but I don't think within a few months it actually does what it claims. — 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Pleasantly Surprised
Thanks to Total Beauty, I was able to try this product for free. To preface my review, I am 26 & very young looking anyway. Before this, I had never really tried an anti-aging product because I haven't needed to. But to my surprise, Olay Regenerist Intensive Repair Treatment was lovely--& it seemed to work very well! First of all, the smell is absolutely delicious. It's quite strong in my opinion, so if you're not a fan of citrusy scents, you probably won't be a fan of this one. What's funny is that it smells exactly like Emergen-C, those vitamin C powder supplements! It smooths onto the skin well, & doesn't leave it ridiculously greasy or shiny. I have combination skin, so my T-zone tends to get pretty oily, but I didn't feel like this made it worse. But to be fair, I did apply the product at night before bed, so it's not like I'm walking around all day with it freshly applied to my face. At first I didn't notice anything, but I was relieved because I had two months to test it out. I can't say exactly when I began to notice results, but it was most likely after the first month or so. All of a sudden, the redness my skin struggles with seemed to be diminishing! And my face looked & felt smoother; more polished. And as luck would have it, two months later I looked even younger. My skin was nicely moisturized & radiant. I could absolutely notice a difference--& I liked what I saw! I've continued using the Intensive Repair every night before bed, & I have to say I'm impressed with the results. I have noticed that this product didn't receive the best reviews, & I'm wondering if the users didn't try it out long enough. Sometimes I want results right away but realize I've got to be patient at times to notice a difference. Perhaps giving it another shot might do the trick. But regardless, I'm very happy with this Olay product & will continue using it.
