Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes Reviews

Not good at removing makeup.
MAYBE if you only wear a little concealer and a bit of eyeliner, you could get away with using these wipes. But they don't do a very good job at removing a normal amount makeup. I use two on my face to get off my foundation and eye makeup, and I still don't think it gets my face as clean as it should. They do claim that they will both clean and remove makeup, but I don't know that either of those things are done sufficiently. Also, it says that the Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes are good for sensitive skin, but I'd be wary of using them on sensitive skin. The texture of the cloths seem soft enough, and are thick enough to not feel flimsy. My skin isn't sensitive at all, but I did find these were a little irritating on my face and stung just a bit. The price is on par with other drugstore makeup wipes (six bucks for a thirty pack). The packaging is fairly cute, and I like that it has the plastic lid insert in the baggie that lets you snap the lid closed, as opposed to resealing the package with a sticker label. I think this really helped them from drying out prematurely. I have mixed feelings on the scent... Given that this brand promotes how "natural" it is, I expected a faint, natural, realistic cucumber smell. But the scent is actually quite strong and a little artificial smelling (they do add fragrance). I also think it's cool that these wipes are biodegradable! — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Decent
I give these the same rating as the Yes to Blueberries "brightening" cleansing wipes. Thankfully, these don't make the false promise of brightening your skin or anything like that. I also like the smell of these much better than the Yes to Blueberries because it is lighter and doesn't linger as long. These wipes are very soft and contain plenty of moisture so they won't dry out by the time you are almost done with your pack. Just as with almost all makeup wipes, these are not the best at completely removing makeup, especially if you wear a lot of it. These are, however, a good first shot. On an extremely lazy night, you could probably get away with a thorough wipe with these and then a toner, but that would be if you are dead tired or drunk (and don't have very problematic skin). We've ALL had those nights. An oil or balm cleanser, in my experience, has been the best thing for thoroughly removing makeup, but there are nights that you just don't care enough to bother with all that. Still, I would follow up your makeup wipe with an actual cleanser of some sort. A package of thirty wipes costs $5.99, but I was able to buy these on sale and use an additional coupon, making them much cheaper. I doubt I would buy these again for full price. They just aren't special enough for me to be loyal to them. — 1 month, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Yes To Cucumbers
This line of products came highly recommended to me. The Blueberries version of these cloths do NOT cut it. This particular version is slightly better. One, they're good for sensitive skin. The downside is that they leave make-up residue behind and the only thing that gets all of it off my face is using my Clarisonic before bed. The first time I used these I really thought they'd gotten everything off. At that point, I was beat, so I called it a day. The next morning I woke up and there was quite a bit of mascara and liner leftover, and that was after using two cloths. Now I know better. Will I buy these again? I'm not sure, but I do like to use one if I'm too tired to break out the Clarisonic and haven't worn a stitch of make-up that day. That's the only time I feel these perform as they should and clean well. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not All That Good...Especially for The Price
I was extremely unimpressed by these towelettes. The texture of the cloth is, in my opinion, cheaply made. The towelette slips around when you try to use it on your face and doesn't remove eye makeup well, at least without a lot of rubbing of the eye area. There are other much more well made towelettes made by othe brands for the same price. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Love
These are perfect for cleansing gently because I'm on an acne treatment, I don't want to use a face wash. They leave my skin feeling kinda dry bit nothing unmanageable. Defiantly will be buying again — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Good for throughout the day quick wipe
I bought the whole line fo Yes to CC and Blueberries with a discount. Don't expect to just use these by itself and expect it to work. Not likely, but on that note, It's great during a cold winter and quick wipe throughout the day. I went to Aspen and it was snowing last week. So I just kept these throughout the day to use for a quick wipe before reapplying my Paula's choice hydrating mask. I was stressed and studying so I wiped my face after the several smokes of cigarette I decided to torcher myself with. It's good if you're not wearing makeup and want a more organic products instead of olay or ponds. It cools my face down, but if you're wearing makeup, this is not a good cleanse all at the end of the day. Basically you have to have nothing on your face and just want a cool refreshing wipe every few hours or so to revive your skin in the harsh winters out and about. — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Blah
I bought it once. It was okay I guess. I don't think it helped my skin in any sort of way. I was just really lazy/tired for a week and wanted a quick fix. My skin requires more attention and decided to break out around my lower chin area once I gave these a go. I don't think they caused the acne I just don't think it helped prevent anything at all. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

Just OK
I purchased these because I was excited to try a vegan cleansing wipe. I was a little disappointed because they claimed to be able to remove all your makeup, but I definitely needed to use a separate eye makeup remover. They left my skin feeling reasonably clean, but not as clean as if I had used a rinse-off cleanser. I wasn't a big fan of the fragrance, but I don't like cucumber scent in general so I'm biased on that count. I have combination skin, and I liked the moisture balance of these towelettes: they left my face moisturized but without any greasiness or residue. Overall, I would buy them again for traveling or to use on days when I'm not wearing much makeup, but I wouldn't use them in place of my regular facial cleanser. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Disappointing
I really didn't like these wipes at all. I purchased them so I could use them on those late nights where you just want to slip into bed but want your skin to be semi-clean. They have a pleasant scent but for some reason they really had a stinging effect on my skin. I do not have sensitive skin at all so this was a first for me. I also noticed that my skin would feel really dry and tight after using them. I will give an extra point for the packaging. The lid will keep them moist for quite awhile. Still I won't repurchase this. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

More like a skincare wipe than a makeup wipe, but nice!
First—they smell SO good. If you’re not a fan of fragrance in your products, you may wish to skip these because they’re cucumber-scented. But fans of cucumber—you have hit pay dirt my friends! I don’t know what I like more though, how soft the wipes are as I glide them across my skin, or the fragrance. Tough to say, but I did just open the container to smell them again! I don’t have any redness or irritation when I use these (they’re alcohol-free), and once the moisture dries down, my skin just feels cool and soft. Since these are also oil-free, they don’t leave a grimy film behind (like the wipes I was using prior), so I’m a pretty happy camper right now. These aren’t heavy-duty makeup removers; so if you’re relying on these (and just these alone) to remove foundation, mascara, the whole nine yards, you could wind up a little disappointed. I can’t really depend on these to remove the bulk of my eye makeup on their own, unless I’ve worn a light application that day. They’ll get it started, but they won’t finish the job. Anyone who prefers to take off all of their makeup with a wipe and call it a night, these probably won’t be the pre-moistened facial towelettes for you. These work great for me at removal on those lighter-makeup days or before cleansing, and they’re super refreshing. When I’m sitting here with bare skin, feeling all gross and oily—I love using them to freshen up and soothe my face. These are kind of like “skincare wipes†to me. My skin just feels very comfortable after using them and I can’t say that about many others, as these are enriched with green tea, aloe vera, cucumber extract, and dead sea mineral salt. In the land of facial towelettes, I really think Yes To Cucumbers is on an island with only a handful of brands producing wipes with more skin-therapeutic qualities to them. If you don’t require heavy-duty makeup removal, have sensitive skin, prefer to take a more natural route with your products, or just like the idea of a gentle cucumber facial towelette… you probably should pick one of these bad boys up. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 7 people said helpful
