Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream-to-Powder Foundation Reviews

Okay if you have the right skin.
Although cream foundations are usually for drier skin, but it seems like this would be better for more normal skin. You really have to blend well or else it's very easy to look cakey. I would recommend using a foundation brush with this instead--you'll use a lot less. As for coverage, it's quite decent. I personally wouldn't give up my regular foundation for this. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

The packaging on this one is AMAZING! Super durable and adorable everyone always compliments this compact when I whip it out of my make up bag. The brush it comes with is fab for touch ups and I love that it has holes at the bottom of the compact so my brush doesn't sit in old powder. This product lasts all day on my face and I do not get extra oily from it like a lot of other foundations. Blends into my skin perfectly and does not feel mask like or cakey. Comes with an average amount of foundation. I am taking off one star because it is super expensive but totally worth it for oily gals such as myself. — 1 year, 7 months ago

Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream-to-Powder Foundation
I have always prefered a powder foundation over a cream simply because my skin is so oily. Cream and liquid foundations have a tendancy to just slide off and pool in my pores and fines lines. I was able to try this out and I was intrigued by the application, coverage, and the final finish. This is not like any other cream to powder foundation I have ever used before. It applied very nicely, and I was able to build it where I need more coverage without it looking cakey or like spackle. I used Urban Decay's Primer Potion under it, and it blended beautifully and the colors are really natural looking, they aren;'t all some weird shade of peach or pink, they have a really neutral base that is really natural looking. I found it to wear very well which is saying a lot with how oily my skin is. After hours of wear, I did have to touch up with powder, but that is normal for me, but it didn't cake up or go all wonky as far as the finish. It may seem a little expensive, but you don't have to use a lot of product, and you aren't touching it up constantly. It dries to a really nice finish, had medium coverage and I didn't use concealer with it, it wasn't necessary. I will be using this product quite a bit, I am sold. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

Smooth finish and light feel
This is one of the better compact foundations I have used. While most cream-to-powder foundations are either too heavy, look chalky when dry or else make my skin look oily after a little bit, this one didn't. It blends well, covers nicely and you can control the amount of coverage you want. The brush applicator is handy but I found a smaller brush head foundation brush works better. The brush included in the compact is great for blending under the jawline to avoid the horrible mask look. The color stays true when skin oils surface. Oily skin may need to use a light dusting of powder or touch up during the day. This product is easily portable for touch-ups. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

In love.
I have oily skin and this is the only product that has ever kept me from looking oily hours later. Works best when you apply with a brush for a smooth airbrushed look. Really great at hiding redness as well. — 4 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great product, bad brush, wasteful compact
This fantastic product loses some stars for the bad (useless) brush it comes with and the wasteful compact. I would have expected a company like Urban to not be so wasteful with packaging, but this packaging is very bulky. The product inside, however, is great. Great coverage, smooth consistency, and easy to apply with either a sponge (especially a damp one) or foundation brush. Recommended if you don't mind wasting packaging. — 9 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Really good!
Really good! I have it in nirvana and it's the first foundation that's really matched my skin tone. I love how it feels going on, it is not cakey at all, and looks natural. I apply it with a beauty blender sponge- not the brush included. I could use a little bit more coverage than it offers but overall it's a really good foundation. — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I'd look elsewhere
Pros: 1. Great coverage 2. More of a concealer than foundation 3. Blends well 4. Good for dry to normal types 5. Matte Cons: 1. Case is huge and not very portable 2. Very little product in the case 3. Brush that it comes with is horrible 4. Falls off of oily skin — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not enough
I was in love with the case design of this. But I can already tell the product will not last long because there's very little quanity of it. Also it does not cover up my acne well. Not worth $34,I will be returning.. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Love this!
I have olive skin with some sun damage spots. This I sweep on lightly and I am flawless! It feels and looks light. The trick is to use a small amount and a light touch. I love it! — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
