Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Shampoo Reviews

No Tousle Please.......
My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots, flakes, and frizzy ends. I know a lot of people love Herbal Essences but we don't anymore based on experience. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Smells great, that's about it.
I love the way Herbal Essences products smell. This one smells great, but does little for your hair. It dries it out, like worse than a straightening iron (OK, I might be exaggerating a bit on that one)! My hair is already super dry as is it and this shampoo and conditioner combination made it all that much worse. The smell is not enough to make up for how many split ends I had after finishing using this product. Probably one of the worst shampoo I have ever tried. I will never buy again or use again. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

kinda a let down
who didnt run out to buy this after you saw the amzing hair the lady in the ad had? i bought the whole line and it didnt make my hair look like hers, (of course) it did leave my hair clean and fresh smelling, and the bottle is a relaxing lavender color that looks pretty in the bathroom. low priced so i dont mind that i was fooled by the hye! — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 6 people said helpful

WOW!
I've used all kinds of shampoo costing me anywhere from $.99 to $35.00 a bottle and it seems this works best for me. My hairdresser commented on how healthy my hair was - she was amazed considering I color my hair at home. I always ask about shampoo/conditioner recommendations and my current hairdresser told me "it's a personal choice" and she couldn't be more right! I LOVE this stuff! It leaves my hair clean, smelling wonderful and it provides my hair with volume regardless if I curl. diffuse or straighten it. Thank You Clairol! — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 9 people said helpful

What Is This Supposed To Do Again?
I have long wavy/curly, but easily straightened dark hair...it makes a great bed head look, but no, this shampoo did nothing to help that tousled look. It smells good, yes...it also dried my hair out a little bit. I didn't use it with the conditioner but I dont think that's why my hair didn't "tousle". I didn't see any real difference in my hair besides the dryness and great smell so this doesn't really work for me. There's something about it that feels unhealthy for your hair so I just stopped using it. — 1 month, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Gets the ball rolling on your beach waves!
(This is an except from my review of the entire "Tousle Me Softly" collection on my site) Okay, so maybe I’m not even in the ballpark of perfect like the model! But I did really like the products, it was pretty easy to achieve a more soft and tousled look so it’s an appropriate name for the collection. I used the Tousle Me Softly shampoo & conditioner then towel dried my hair until it was closer to damp than wet. I applied the Tousle Me Softly mousse all over my hair and lightly combed through my hair with my fingers. I also sprayed a little bit of the collection’s spray gel onto my roots just for good measure! I twisted parts of my hair up (about 5 sections) and away from my face and clipped them into place, letting them down as I dried that section with high heat, keeping the shape of the twist intact as I was drying it. You can cup the twist in your hand and lightly unwind it as it gets drier, I find that helps define more of a wave pattern instead of a curl– it’s all about the waves! Once my hair was dry, I lightly broke apart some of the tighter twisted sections into place with my fingers, almost raking them through then sprayed a decent amount of the Tousle Me Softly hairspray, and wah-lah! I was happy with the result, beach waves for a girl with shorter hair! It looks totally gorge on you girls with longer hair, I’m totally envious by the way. — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Meh
I didn't care for this shampoo, as it left my strands feeling quite dry. It is recommended for those who have very healthy hair. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Works alright
I have thick, curly, naturally blonde hair. The Tousle Me Softly shampoo (I pair it with the conditioner) does a good job of cleansing my hair without drying it out. It isn't the best shampoo ever, but it smells lovely and does the job. — 2 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

No thanks.
It smelled so awful in the shower. Some people liked the smell of it, but I was not one of them. Ick. My hair was not soft at all, even a little crunchy-looking. But it is a really pretty packaging. Too bad I bought the extra large bottles, so I had to go through that awfulness for a few months. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
