    With short fat rubber bristles Max Factor's new 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper is somewhat of an unknown quantity in the quickly gentrifying neighborhood of novelty mascaras. While these bells and whistles draw you in, the desirable results of the formula itself are what will convert you. First, I took a three hour nap... is this with no smudging, smearing, or flaking. This thick wet pigment never leaves lashes hard or claw-like. The formula is wet and moisturizing (possibly the reason for distinguishing it as a lash plumper rather than a simple mascara.) The results resemble those of fake lashes more than the usual mascara. I for one, am in love. Still, one request to Max Factor: develop a wand that makes "2000 calories" and "plump" sexy for the body as well as the lashes. April 14, 2009, 12:10 pm

    I haven't used a Max Factor mascara in awhile. I recall using the orginal 200 calories years ago and liking it . This new one is a good addition to the line. It really thickened and volumized, and does good but not super lengthening. My only issue is the wand brush is huge. Bigger than most I've used. It gets in the way a b...it. If the brush were just a bit smaller, would be great. This mascara also wears well. No smudges or running all day, which rarely happens with me. I like that. I plan on trying the waterproof 2000 Calorie next. May 11, 2009, 8:01 pm

    there are so many similar things about this mascara and CG LashBlast (packging, wand, etc). on its own, it's a very good mascara. i like the volume it gives-- i did get a little bit of clumping, but nothing that couldn't be worked out. i experienced no flaking or smudging with this, but i still prefer LB. i will use this un...til it runs out, but probably won't repurchase.     I really like this mascara, but I can't tell a difference between it and Lash Blast by Cover Girl...the packaging is even exactly the same. Lash Blast is a few bucks cheaper and does the exact same thing, so that's what I'm going with from now on. May 6, 2009, 8:16 am

    I think this has got to be one of the best mascaras out there. It gives me the lashes that I have been looking for. This formula lengthens and volumizes for REALLY noticeable lashes. I have this in blackest brown. Great lashes for a great price, about $10. April 22, 2009, 2:45 pm

    This Mascara is great!

    I work long days and this mascara looks as good in the evening as when I put it on. I get complements on my eyes all the time, and this mascara is is to blame! It goes on quickly, so you don't have to do 100 coats, maybe 2 or 3, although it looks like 100! It lengthens and volumizes my lashes. I have tries many mascaras ove...r the years, and this is my favorite. I am on my third tube. The one thing bad about it is you must change to a new tube, as encouraged, at the three month mark or the mascara will dry slightly in the tube and then flake easier on the eyes.     Stick to regular 2000 calorie mascara

    I love Max Factor products, especially their mascara - they are quality products w/ good pigments at an extremely fair price. However, I am not a fan of this mascara - while the formula itself is very wearable (goes on smoothly and lasts all day, no flaking of clumping), the brush is just TOO BIG. It honestly doesn't make... any sense! It makes it extremely difficult to apply without getting it all over your eyes. I'm going back to the normal 2000 calorie mascara (I use the waterproof kind, it's wonderful), which is also about $3 cheaper. September 16, 2009, 6:39 am

    Packaging > Effect

    I think if I had tried this in black, it might've made a big difference. But I got it in blackest brown, so it doesn't have the dramatic effect I would've liked. It did make my lashes longer and plumper, though, and it definitely moisturizes. I really love the packaging- the mascara bottle is chic, and the wand shape is sup...erb.     Whoa lashes
