Maybelline New York Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation Reviews

So So
Not a huge fan of mineral foundation. Used this for awhile but at time it looked a little chalky. The brush is a little stiff so I prefer to use my own brush. Ok for a quick hint of color on down days. — 4 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Uneven
I don't mind this stuff but I can't wait for it to run out! (I only like to own one foundation at a time... idkw). I find it cakes on every unevenly and I can't get it to shade into my skin or even brush it across my face. If I want full coverage and not just my cheeks I have to put more on the brush which is not what I want to do because you can obviously tell I'm wearing foundation then. I'm going to try and use a different brush in it but if that doesn't work I'll have to say "definitely should be sold at the Dollar Store" not quality. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great Makeup Foundation
I really love using this powder as a base for my makeup because it goes on smooth and the powder doesn't clump. The powder is a great color to match my skin tone and doesn't flake off. The foundation makes my skin glow and really looks great under any makeup for a natural look that lasts. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 2 people said helpful

Love
This stuff really works well. I like it for everyday wear, it comes in my shade. It has a nice finish to it too. Worth it. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Looks great but makes me itch!
I really wanted to like this mineral makeup because it looks great on my skin. It doesn't have any of the "dewy" look that some foundations do, but look shimmery and just weird on me. It has a natural, but matte finish and stays looking true all day long. Now for the problem - it makes my face itch if I even think about perspiring! I don't mean a minor discomfort, I mean, full on, want to gouge my skin! After some research I found that many mineral makeup wearers have this reaction to the ingredient bismuth and it's in this foundation. I live in hot and humid south west Florida, so sweating is a common occurrence. I wear it on the coldest of days, but that's the only time I can manage. If you don't have a reaction to bismuth (it's in Bare Minerals) then this is a beautiful foundation that is much more affordable. It comes with an application brush that's a very mini kabuki with very stiff bristles. I found that it helps blend the foundation in really well because of the stiffness and after washing several times, I ended up using it with other powder foundation s. — 3 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Can't find my shade
Although I like the price, the coverage, and the texture, I don't like the brush that comes with (too pokey and ouchy) and I haven't yet found a shade to match my skin. I am just a light/medium skinned girl with freckles. I don't know why it would be so hard. All the colors I have tried in this have all been way too pink. I have the liquid version of this, and have found my PERFECT shade. Unfortunately the powder and liquid don't share the same shades or else I would have found the perfect one. Other than that this is everything great in a mineral powder! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Love It!
Just bought this yesterday and the color was perfect for my weird-toned skin. Not too orange or pink. The texture is soft and silky and it glides on purrr-fectly. I applied it after my daily moisturizer soaked in and it felt lovely. DO NOT use the cheap-y brush that comes with it. I used a good quality Sephora-brand mineral make-up brush - a fluffly one - to apply and it went on easily and cleanly. My only complaint is that it doesn't last very long. But I'm also a face-toucher, so who knows? This feels good, looks good and doesn't smell at all. And minerals never make me break out. It's also WAY CHEAPER than Bare Minerals. Was my favorite for awhile
I used to love this foundation! Maybelline had the closest to my natural color as I had ever found (until recently). I used to purchase two shades and mix them to get my perfect shade so if you also find that you need to do that, the containers for this make it really easy to do. The coverage is really great on this if you match your skin color perfectly (duh!) & lasts a long time. The brush was just okay, definitely not the best or worst and it'll do a decent job on your application but I just used my own brush. Unfortunately, after several months of using this foundation, I started drying out a lot around my chin area and on the sides of my nose which is weird because I have oil-er skin. I had to stop using it because it got so dry it started to hurt and a week or so after, the dryness was gone. If you don't have this problem, this foundation is great so definitely try it. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great for a combination skin
I have a combination fair skin. I got a tester of this product some time ago and lately started to use it regularly and I love it. It gives me good coverage (but I always use concealer first), I don't look shiny, it's easy to apply and so on. And when it comes to price I'm also glad, because it's pretty cheap considering how long it lasts. Good buy, just don't put too much product on your brush. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
