Functional, but has its issues
I bought this after an independent agency determined that it was the second most effective sunscreen on the market. This sunscreen stayed put in the water, acting almost like a slicked-on shield, and my sensitive skin loved the natural ingredients, even though they emit a too-strong smell. The texture is so awful that I ultimately stopped using it. It's so thick that it's difficult to rub in and it never absorbs, causing every little dust particle to stick to your skin. And it was so greasy I felt like a greased pig roasting in the sun. Yuck. — 4 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not for every day use
I got this because I like zinc oxide sunscreens and this has a high percentage of it. It's thick and heavy and leaves a white tint. I will reserve this for outdoor activities but not every day. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Good for an all-natural
I have the baby version of this. It is very thick, as the base is olive oil, beeswax, shea and cocoa butter, and jojoba oil. These oils & butters are what makes it water resistant. It is difficult to spread, so I let a little warm in my hand before applying it. It is whitening, but if you give it time it will soak in and most of the white will go away. I think this would be a bad choice for oily skin, as it leaves even my super dry skin a little greasy. It is excellent as a barrier cream to prevent windburn. I wouldn't dare try to wear it under makeup because of the high amount of oil & butters in it. As far as an all-natural sunscreen, it is one of the better ones. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

the best
this is the best sunblock ever! its all natural, so nothing scary that can cause physical problems. it takes a very small amount. it lasts a very long time. there is a faint whitening, but if you can see that, yo are still protected. — 4 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

one of the best, but ...
This is really expensive, but I think it's worth it. I love how natural it is; plus, it protects my sensitive skin from the sun. Most sunscreens irritate my skin (I get these little bumps or I break out) but this is really gentle. The only thing I don't like is that it's kind of hard to rub in, and the smell is kind of weird at first (but then it sinks into your skin ad you don't notice anymore). — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Sunscreen made right
I have tried a few natural sunscreens and this is the best. It is a bit pricey for such a small bottle but it's worth it as many sunscreens that claim to protect are actually more harmful to the skin than the sun itself. Many zinc oxide based sunscreens are incredibly thick and hard to rub on, but not Badger. It is easy to apply, just make sure to reapply after swimming and sweating (I got slightly burned once because I didn't reapply.) — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
