I reviewed this product for the Total Beauty program, and I did not care for it at all. It is too light, scented, and does not live up to it's claims. I have an entire post devoted to it at http://mikaelasjetsetbeauty.blogspot.com/ or under the tab 'blogs we love'02/07/2008

April 7, 2008, 2:32 pm I loved the thick, whipped texture of this cream, but it actually seemed to irritate my sensitive skin. After application, my skin felt a bit warm and itchy. After about fifteen minutes this sensation would go away, but still, that's a deal-breaker for me. The reason I tried this product was to soothe my easily bothered skin, and this definitely did not do the trick. (Side note--I ended up buying Decleor Harmonie gentle soothing cream instead, which I love. I would recommend it to anyone with dry, sensitive skin!) April 7, 2008, 2:32 pm

Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream Review

I have to give this a thumbs down sadly. For one thing the price of $75 for 1.7oz scares me slightly. For one thing the price of $75 for 1.7oz scares me slightly. I really shouldn't say that as my regular moisturizer costs $85.45 for 1.5oz but at least it works amazingly well! Maybe I didn't get the benefit of it since it's recommend for super sensitive skin types where as I'm more of a dry type during the winter. It promises to restore skin from intense weather conditions but I really wasn't seeing much of a difference. I faced the elements for the time I was sampling it (rain, sleet, snow) and my skin came out without much change. The formula is very thick which got me super excited as I thought it would be excellent nourishment for my dry, patchy skin. After using this for almost two weeks my skin is actually missing my old moisturizer! It didn't create any problems for me, it didn't cause dry skin, or oily skin or any other such problems however it just didn't feel like it was doing anything for my skin where as with my regular moisturizer I can feel and see it working. My face looks fresher, less dull, and moist when I use my regular brand. At the very least for $75 bucks I was hoping I'd see some change in my face! From dull to glow? Nope. Nothing. February 26, 2008, 4:31 am Color me unimpressed, for the most part. This product is meant to give "hyper-protection and healing relief for super-sensitive skin. Formulated to rescue skin from external aggressors like harsh weather and provide comfort after dermatological procedures and surgeries, it pampers and calms seriously stressed skin." Really, maybe my skin is just too pampered? Maybe I just needed to go out and get some windburn or something? I don't know, but I used this product twice a day for several days and didn't really notice... anything. Pure Cloud Cream smells great, and the texture really is soft as a cloud, but when I put this on I couldn't tell I had it on- good, yes, as my skin wasn't smothered, but I didn't feel soothed or anything dramatic. I consider this a decent moisturizer with a lofty price - but I will tell ya it's great on my chapped lips, so maybe if your skin really is stressed it's a miracle product? I'd ask for a sample for your weather-bitten or post-procedure skin, just to see if it's going to help before sinking almost $80 into it. If it helps, right a review and let us know! :) February 26, 2008, 4:31 am

    Cloud Cream is a Dream

Well, it's grosser to stand idly by doing nothing, friends. My nose is on its way to recovery, thanks to Skyn Iceland! Here's the part that's more of a nightmare than a dream: Pure Cloud Cream costs $75 for the 1.7 oz. jar. I find it difficult to throw down so much moolah for a tiny little jar. That said, its blend of aloe, oat extracts and peptides brightened my skin tone AND didn't react negatively with my iffy combo skin. February 23, 2008, 2:56 pm

It calmed my skin but I need more

February 19, 2008, 11:41 am It's got a nice citrus scent to it that I really enjoyed and it's soft to the touch, almost fluffy. The texture of the cream is not heavy either. When I applied the product, it absorbed fairly quickly and my skin felt hydrated and smooth. This wasn't what I expected for a healing cream but I still liked the way my skin felt. It did indeed soothe my irritated areas well. As for my skins appearance, I used this product for 4 days and I noticed a slight reduction in the amount of redness I was seeing prior to using the product but it did nothing for the dry, flaky patches I've been battling which is what I was really hoping to improve upon. Even though it certainly calmed my skin down, I still need something more that Skyn Iceland's Pure Cloud Cream is not doing for me. Howver, if my budget was not an issue and my skin issues were resolved, this is something I'd seriously consider as a regular moisturizer for drier seasons. February 19, 2008, 11:41 am

February 15, 2008, 11:33 am After a week in the rain, wind, snow, and bitter cold; my itchy, overly dry and sensitive skin needed help. I grabbed this jar of Cloud Cream hoping that my skin would get some sort of relief. Upon opening and taking in the beautiful light and fresh scent, and then feeing how cushiony the cream felt in the jar, I was so excited to scoop right in and I slathered a pretty generous amount all over my face and neck. My skin immediately felt satisfied. It felt quenched and looked brighter - just as I smoothed it on. After a full day of makeup, my skin still felt great, but I still could not wait to remove the makeup and apply more of this cream. It really felt that good. I used Skyn Iceland's Pure Cloud Cream for three mornings and nights, to only start to use something else, as I have to often switch my moisturizers up to bring on all the reviews. This is when I noticed that my skin did not feel as nice as it previously did, and I know it was craving the relief I got when I used the Cloud Cream. If your skin is at all stressed from the elements or sensitive after a cosmetic treatment or procedure, you must give Cloud Cream a try. I do not know what exactly does the trick - whether it is the aloe and oat extracts or the peptides that help skin immediately feel so good. Like I said, it is a dream, and however it works, it's wonders is more than enough for me. February 15, 2008, 11:33 am

    Nice Feeling Cream

February 12, 2008, 3:41 pm This is what www.TalkingMakeup.com thinks about skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream: I used the cream for 7 days and not at any point did I want to stop, which is a good sign. I usually get turned off by a product if it smells too strong, is too light on your skin so you don't feel your skin is hydrated enough or that it's working, if it's too greasy, and contains ingredients like mineral oil or petroleum. So on all these levels Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream scored a 8 on a scale of 1-10. Do I feel it changed my skin in a dramatic way, I would say no. It was just a nice cream that feels good to apply. Maybe if I tested it longer I would have noticed more significant results. Lastly, the price could have been a bit lower: maybe $45. All in all, skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream wasn't too bad and we would recommend it to our friends. February 12, 2008, 3:41 pm

I did not see any change in my skin -- and it purports to do a lot, from restoring moisture and reducing discomfort to rebalancing stressed-out skin and healing irritation. While the cream itself is light, it leaves a greasy sheen on your skin that can't be removed just with water but which actually needs a cleanser to fully come off. Luckily it didn't make me break out or dry out my already sensitive skin -- but I have to say I just don't understand why it would cost $75. Its claims to heal stressed and damaged skin are similar too. I focused the sample I had on the skin under my cheek bones and down under and along my jaw bone. In the winter, this area is particularly dry. The Cloud Cream did a very decent job of smoothing and moisturizing. I think it would be too thick for summer time; but fine for winter. Caution: there's a big price tag. February 26, 2008, 8:27 am

Love the Way It Feels, But Didn't Relieve Super Dry Skin

However, this cream didn't quite help the dry flakes at the top of my forehead. I understand that it's sole purpose is to relieve "stressed out" skin, so if I were to give a rating based on it's purpose, I would give it a thumbs up. My skin felt softer and less blotchy.
