    Good polish.

I have a ton of Essie polishes, but the most recent polish I bought is "Tart Deco". It is SUCH a pretty coral color. It's perfect for spring, which is why I purchased it. This polish has great lasting power. I've had it on for 5 days now, and it hasn't chipped. That's huge for me, because I'm a mom, and am on the go all day everyday. Between dishes, playing with my kids, taking care of household c...read morehores, etc. my nail polish usually chips pretty quickly. This polish had very impressive staying power. Unfortunately the brush isn't the best and it can make applying this polish a little tricky. It'll end up streaky if you aren't careful. The formula is thin, so you definitely need 2 coats to make this polish opaque, but the end result is beautiful. I love it. Sarah hustlababy09.blogspot.com

    Essie Nail Lacquer

I keep getting pulled back to Essie because the colors are to die for, but I'm just not impressed with the application. I have the color "bikini so teeny," and it took 3 coats. The thicker the polish, the more apt it is to mess up. Plus, ain't nobody got time for that. Also, the brush isn't wide enough. I don't know how nail polish companies don't know enough to widen their brushes. Take a clue fr...read moreom Wet n Wild Megalast. The brush is perfect. I don't know. The Essie is okay, but compared to my Wet n Wild it is really inferior. Hard to believe, but true. Too bad the W n W doesn't have some of Essie's colors!

    Great Colors, Long Lasting

I'm a big fan of nail polish and Essie always delivers. Essie offers a wide variety of colors and their polish lasts for days even with basic manicures (around 5 for me which is pretty good considering I use my hands a lot). The polish doesn't pull or streak with application. It goes on smooth and two coats is really all you need. The price is reasonable ($8 a bottle) and it's easy to find their products in stores.

    Amazing polish!!

This polish comes in a huge variety of gorgeous colors, ranging from creamy to glittery. It lasts very well and is fairly chip-resistant. Most colors only need one or two coats as well. I'll take one star off for the price, since 8 or 9 dollars for a drugstore polish is kind of pricy, but if you want a good quality polish definitely try it out!!

    My favorite

I expect a lot from my nail polish. I expect it to come in the newest colors, go on easily, and last until I get sick of it! Essie does all of this. I always end up buying Essie because I'm in the nail polish aisle, innocently looking at what new colors they might have, when BAM! Essie assaults me with their cute new displays. I am powerless to resist. They always have a color I am dying to have....read more Essie is the most watery of my nail polishes. It goes on well and doesn't streak, but you'll need more coats for full coverage. The brushes are medium sized, and round. I generally prefer larger, flat brushes for better coverage, but because Essie is so watery, it doesn't usually streak on me. My favorite thing about Essie is that the color will last. It won't chip. (As long as you apply properly, letting each thin coat dry fully in between.) Essie will last me two weeks if I want it to. I usually get sick of a color and change it way before then, but it would last, if I wanted it to! Now Essie is not as expensive as salon brands, but its definitely more than you'd usually spend at the drug store. You'll probably pay around $8. Bottom Line: Essie is salon quality, without the salon price. But you will pay more than a drug store brand, so unless you really need the higher quality, stick to cheaper brands. If you, however, are like me and need nail polish that will stay, Essie is a great option!

Top notch! HIGHLY recommend and here is why..

I originally rated Essie Nail Polish a 9/10 and after trying numerous brands since, reviewing about a dozen and looking at my huge collection of polish my boyfriend thinks I am crazy for owning, I had to change my rating to a 10. I have tried almost every brand (Hard Candy, Sinful, China Glaze, OPI, L'OREAL, Rimmel, Revlon... the list goes on) you can find in the stores in my area (Walgreens, Walm...read moreart, grocery stores and Ulta) I can now say hands down, no argument Essie is my favorite, go to brand and the first brand I look at when buying not only polishes but nail products in general (I'll save those reviews for their respective pages). Every time Essie comes out with a new line, I immediately check it out and usually love and buy at least one color. I own twice as much Essie polish and products then any other brand. For a high end polish it is a decent price ($8.50 or around that, Walgreens had a buy one get one 1/2 off sale recently and I bought so many it was insane haha) and the pigments are perfect. It takes 2 coats to get the perfect color no matter if its a glitter polish (which I am very picky about and only like one other brand for my glitter polishes) or a matte color. Every color comes out perfect and exactly as it looks in the bottle, which is hard to find in any polish. The polish also has great staying power. I always use a base coat now but before I used one the colors still lasted well over a week with very minimal, if any chips. The colors also look amazing without any sort of top coat ( I use a top coat anyway to add a little kick of shine and to seal the deal) but with a top coat they are downright perfect. Essie is at the top of my list of brands hands down and I could rave forever about how great the produce is. I recently bought "Cute As A Button" and I so excited to try it. I could list off so many colors I am obsessed with ("Watermelon", "Jump In My Jumpsuit", "Dive Bar", "Size Matters" to name a few) but take my word for it: Essie is the #1, top nail polish brand in my book.

    Love love love

Essie nail polish is my complete a time favorite brand besides Revlon. The only thing I dislike about this polish is that it is very, very expensive! It lasts a long time at least :) my FAVE color is "Bikini so teeny," a GORGEOUS perry winkle-y color I love!

    Essie Nail Polish

I honestly don't know why everyone raves about these essie nail polishes. I usually get sucked into the essie polishes because of the beautiful colors that they have. Their colors are unique and pretty, and sometimes I can't help but buy it. That being said, I am usually disappointed with the quality of them when I try them on at home. I find that most of the time, they're very streaky and har...read mored to work with. They don't spread out on the nail right and clump up sometimes. Other times, especially with the paler colors, they're usually very think and not very pigmented at all. With the lighter colors, I find that I need a lot more coats than i would normally use. I usually like to do 2 coats maximum. More than two coats, and I get impatient. The pale essie colors require at least several coats. There are some colors from essie that I love and I find do have a good consistency and are very easy to apply and beautiful. But overall as a brand, the formula and application that is needed is very inconsistent and I usually find that it's just not worth it to buy an essie nail polish. Essie polishes are usually a hit or miss for me. I have about 5 full size, and maybe 10 mini polishes. If you ask for my recommendation, I'd say Wild Thang and Smooth Sailing.

Color range makes it worth it

Essie without a doubt has the best color selection on the market, especially for something that costs under $10 a bottle. I will always buy Essie for fun new colors, but I find it chips on me too quickly. For more basic colors that I need to last through a week of classes, I usually use another brand. But for fun colors like Naughty Nautical (my favorite!) and Bond With Whomever that you might change out frequently, Essie simply can't be beat.

    Play Date

I really didn't like how sheer the color was. You really have to get a good 3 coats to get the real vibrant color out of it. Also the brush is really flimsy and the bristles tend to bend easily.
