Pretty good nail polish
I like these nail polishes, they come in really cute colors and stay on my fingers for a good amount of time. Usually the first layer of nail polish I put on is pretty thin and streaky but, after two or three coats the nail polish looks great. I love how easily I can get these at the drugstore. Essie changed their formula, used to last 2 weeks, now barely a few days
I am a hand model and have used Essie nail polish for SEVERAL YEARS and was happy to pay more (vs drugstore brands) because it lasted on my nails for about 2 weeks. In the past 2 years I've noticed the new formula of Essie nail polish only lasts a day or so. IT APPEARS THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR FORMULA TO MAKE IT CHIP OFF IN A DAY OR SO, IN ORDER TO SELL MORE PRODUCT. The Best
Essie is my hands-down favorite nail polish brand. No one does creme polishes as well as they do - the formula is the perfect consistency for doing your nails quickly but without a huge mess, they are completely opaque on the second coat (if not the first), they dry really shiny and glossy, and they have never chipped on me. And I have heard that people like the big brush that comes in OPI bottles...read more, but I prefer Essie's thinner brush as it gives me more control over where the polish goes. Also, a tip: if you live in a big city, you probably have a few stores nearby that caters to salons. At mine, they have Essie for more than 1/2 off and they have the new colors as soon as they're available, so I can indulge in all the shades I want without breaking the bank. Isn't what it is CRACKED up to be !!!!

Peels off???
I don't understand. Are my nails abnormal or something? How can a product that scores consistent good reviews do so poorly on my nails? I use a base coat, two coats of the polish then top it with a top coat. For some reason Essie's polishes, beautiful though they are, ALWAYS end up peeling off my nails after maybe 3 days. Essie needs to work on their lighter colors
When I spend a good amount on a nailpolish I expect it to, one: last a long time and two: cover my nails! I loved the color of Essie's Absolutely Shore, a mint green color, after one cote my nails looked like I had barely put anything on them and after the third cote they still look streaky to the point where I can still see through to my nail. After putting a fourth coat on they just looked tacky...read more and chipped extremely quickly. Essie Polish
So many wonderful colors. Longest wearing on natural nails (with the right prep) and wouldn't use any other nail polish for natural nails. I DIY for shellac french nails. They are nice. Before that, I used Essie products for a natural french nail manicure and it would last 10 -- 14 days. When I want color,I use the Essie. Does not go on well
I have Essie in metallic shades I bought about 5 months ago. I tried putting color on last night, and one stroke was fine, the second stroke took off the color where it overlapped with the first, and so on. I got so frustrated that I threw them away! Essie FIJI - opaque pink
I was excited to try this color, since it looks so pretty when professionally done. The color, when applied perfectly, is a 9/10, a creamy opaque pastel pink. But I give the polish a 6/10 because it's extremely difficult to apply. It's so thick and dense and the brush isn't great. Best Nail Color EVER
I hate to be "that" person, but OPI doesn't compare to Essie and anyone who tries is nuts. Essie is the most professional nail color I've ever encountered. It lasts, the colors are superb, and I personally go without a topcoat without any issues at all.
