Hylexin Eye Cream

Persistence (twice daily use) is the key to seeing results with this product that "reduces hemoglobin degradation" to make dark circles fade. We cringe at the warnings on the tube: "You may feel a moderate sensation of warmth," and, "use sparingly. Hylexin is a highly-concentrated formula." Take heed; a more-is-more attitude could leave you with red, itchy circles. But if you're desperate, it's worth a try. It's pricey but there's an out: a 30-day money-back guarantee.

    Is this a gimmick??

    by Woolsey (25 reviews)
I spent $95 on this product and I saw very little difference than before I started to use it. I do not recommend this product for the money. October 14, 2007, 3:13 pm

Tried it ... tried it some more. Then had to break down and admit that I had spent a lot of money on an eye treatment that did absolutely nothing. At least it didn't irritate my skin or my eyes. October 25, 2007, 5:48 pm

April 29, 2008, 10:23 am im very very pale, platinum ash blond with ice blue eyes naturally, and when i started to get some darkening under my eyes not only was it very noticable [i got lots of 'oh, you look tired today' comments...] but im too light for most under eye concealers to blend or cover well. i bought this even tho the picture in the ad was way worse than my situation, with the bruised looking model, and started using it twice a day everyday like the tube said. the very first time i used too much, and it made my eyes, PUFFIER. after that i was less heavy handed, and it seemed to absorb well with no ill effects. it took about 4 monthes of steady use but my under eye area is LIGHTER now THAN THE REST OF MY FACE. ive been using it for a little over a year, and the under eye shadows havent come back....i am a little wary of stopping! i think it does work, it just may take longer than you expect, but you do get a ton of the cream, i think ive only had to buy this 3 times in over a year. oh, one of my girlfriends from the beauty shop is italian [sicilian] heritage and has heriditary darkness under her eyes, [she said her mom and gramma both had it the same] and she tried it, and it didnt do anything for her at all, after 3 monthes she quit using it. i dont kno but maybe that sort of under eye shadowing is normal for her, and not something that can be 'corrected', so if you have that kind it might not work for you either, just letting you kno! <3 April 29, 2008, 10:23 am

Really does show how disappointed all of us are for shoveling an armfull of cash at those greedy phamaceutical company... esspecially ME! We've all fallen for "too good to be true" claims, and this one is one of them. If you're reading this and considering this cream for your eye bag woes, do yourself a big favor and juss chill your regular eye cream/gel in the fridge and apply in the morning.. really does tone down darkenss, feels good too. Don't forget your trusted concealer- the one fail proof solution to dark circles. April 20, 2008, 11:07 pm

    It does work!!

April 6, 2008, 6:24 pm I, as many have tried many high and low end eye creams to combat my dark circle of years of late night sleep or very few sleep, but none worked. I didn't see any improvement after the first month of using it both in the morning and night. But after 8 weeks, my friends noticed and were awed by my much brighter under-eye area (200% brighter). The trick is to sleep early and get at least 7-9 hours of sleep per night. There is no miracle cream if you continue the same sleep habit that caused your dark circle in the first place. March 22, 2008, 5:57 am I'd tried numerous products to end my *serious dark circles*, but they hadn't budged. So, even though I had my reservations with products that promised spectacular results in reducing my raccoon resemblance, I shelled out the bucks for this highly-advertised product, justified the risk (and cost!) based on the fact that I'd spend sooo much less on concealer. Heh.. I did, at first, feel some tingling- which I was hoping was a sign that this pricey product might actually be working. After religious applications, and multiple trials (Maybe I was doing something wrong, or hadn't given it enough time?), I realized that, alas, that was not the case. In fact, the more I used the product, the less "tingle" I felt. And my "shiners" persisted- in all their purple glory. Grrr.. My bad experience with Hylexin hasn't soured me entirely, in my quest to rid myself of dark circles (I've had some pretty good luck with Hydroxatone/Hydrolyze). I just expect a bit less going in, while still clinging to the ever-present hope to be pleasantly surprised. And I do a lot more research before investing big bucks in a product. Thank you, Total Beauty! March 22, 2008, 5:57 am

    I wasted my money!

    by katmagick (23 reviews)
I stuck with this product until it was gone. I honestly did not see one bit of change in my dark circles. I was planning to return for a refund when I realized that the time to do that had expired. I am so sick of spending big bucks for products that don't do what they say. I suggest that you not waste your money. February 6, 2008, 11:19 am

More than one brand..like this one..has that ingredient. So don't think that this is the holly grail of under eye creams. Honestly, NOTHING will get rid of your undereye circles. Dermatologically speaking, what you have is a lack of fat under your eye and the only thing to remedy this is fat transplant to that location. February 5, 2008, 6:32 pm

I have gone from looking like I had tired, dry skin to supple and youthful looking I have been very happy with them. Like the other reviewer- I have tried several high-end and low-end products and so far this has owrked for me. it is just a matter of finding out what works for you. November 29, 2007, 11:53 am

  • Directions

  • Gently apply Hylexin concentrate twice daily to clean, dry skin, using a light, circular motion, until completely absorbed into the orbital eye area. Use sparingly. Hylexin is a concentrated formula. Do not exceed three applications per 24-hour period. Note: As Hylexin begins to work, you may experience a moderate feeling of warmth...this is normal.
